Day back at DPD head quarters. Would the theory above explain why the record showed differences in what initial officers saw as the recovered rifle and what ended up as the rifle entered into evidence? A.J

I'm enjoying the series but have a few reservations....was Liddy really that much of a psycho in the early 70's as portrayed in Gaslit? How did he ever get that close to power. E.H.Hunt always seems to be portrayed in movies or tv series as a bit of a weirdo, he and Dulles must have been very close. Pat Gray being portrayed as a complete baffoon. Sex parties at the conventions as legendary regular events in 1972 meaning they had been happening for many years prior 68, 64, 60??? I'm taking this series as a purely entertainment based portrait of the people involved in the 72'73' years of DC politics in Washington. Why dont they build apartment's with sunken lounge rooms and multi-level living rooms any more...i love the Mitchell's place. AJ.

Here is something to consider, i can speak Hebrew...I'm a white catholic Australian and i can speak Hebrew. If you sent me to Israel to do business with Israelis and had me in meetings where they believed only they spoke Hebrew, would they possibly let some info slip when spoken amongst themselves that i could understand? These few lines from Doug Horne's book is were every book on the assassination pisses me off.........did anyone bother to ask the question of these mid-level participants "who ordered you to do so" and then proceed 1 step further up the chain of command and ask the next question "who told you to instruct so and so to act that way"? With just 2 more questions by 1960's and 70's, 80's and 90's investigators/reporters/authors and committee panellists we would have found out who had ruled over the assassination. A.J

Hi Sandy, Yep I'm aware of the statement he made about being out front watching the parade(it may have been in Hosty's or Bookhout's notes) but not a single colleague of LHO ever said he was downstairs outside prior to the shooting or during the shooting.... no one witnessed him walk back inside and make his way upstairs to the lunch room....so zero proof his " i was outside watching the parade" was ever corroborated in 50 plus years. Maybe he was looking out a 1st, 2nd or 3rd floor window which allowed him to get to the lunch room in time for truly and baker to walk in on him.....but i cant believe he was just sitting in that room alone prior to or as the president passed by 501 Elm street. Maybe he can be spotted peering out a lower floor window one day if more images or film turns up? Personally i dont think he fired from the 6th floor that day, or if he did it was 1 shot only and he missed on purpose, then bolted down stairs... Also i do not believe LHO is prayer man. Mr. David Lifton, Interesting stuff, evidence will be key to these new theories of what was to happen that day and the fluid moves made by the conspirators to maintain the original plot outcome. With all the moving parts required to pull off the original plan and then the adjusted plan my question without reading the book will be: "Who had the authority and power to make the original plan work(placement of people and equipment), and who had the power and authority to make adjustments on the fly(no pun intended) to see the plot thru after it didnt go to plan regards the shooting and hospital in Dallas"? Will you name names as to which groups or individuals you believe at the conclusion of over 40 years work on the case...had that power and used their authority to facilitate an American coup d'état....???? I have always had a lingering doubt regarding Lee Oswald just waiting in the lunch room while the president of his country and his beautiful wife were driving by 20-30m away just outside his work.....for such a political idealist as Oswald portrayed himself to be, a man who read of alternatives to democracy and served in his countries military, who perhaps was a government agent/asset or longed to be one...i just cannot understand why he would not want to lay his own eyes on his commander and chief....even if just to be able to say "Oh I've seen the president up close, he looked at me i looked at him or some bullshit" i just have to think there is no way Oswald was not looking out a window as the Kennedy's approached or drove by.....he was either looking at them from the 6th floor or the 2nd, 3rd or 1st somehow someway......i honestly cannot fathom that with his ideology and military background he wouldn't want to see the president of the United States with his own eyes.....just a personal thought! Hi Chris, Somebody posted the drain layouts and details along with some photos inside the north knoll drain, plus some other pics of the drains as it led back to the trinity river on Robert Harris's jfk assassination website years ago, I'm sure i saved the photos on an old laptop but where that is now I'm not sure.... You could get right up under the plaza all the way to the court house building and beyond thru the underground drain system apparently. That was featured on some 80's tv special. I remember watching and being amazed. Footage must be out there somewhere. From memory the Elm Street drain where the manhole cover was on the sidewalk had a much smaller size opening (approximately 10 to 12 inches in diameter) for its water run off pipe. The opening up on the grassy knoll drain was 2 feet or more in diameter. Was it likely to have been used as an escape route??? Probably not, but was it possible....in my opinion yes! Try and find the Cabluck photo i mentioned.....there are two versions.....but only 1 was available up until 2005 or 2006, now that version has disappeared and a new one exists. The storm drain upon the knoll at the underpass junction was an interesting design...it only had a straight round tunnel of 5 or 6 feet then turned left 90 degrees (so no shoot'em in the ass unless you went in and followed) it then ran at a down angle of 45 to 50 degrees for about 60 feet before linking up to larger tunnel system that was about 4 feet high then into the main trinity river tunnel that was stand up straight walking height for almost 800m. Yes it would have been a difficult escape but for a thinner person not impossible....more importantly who the hell in that parking area was checking down a drain?? No one reported seeing anyone near there except for our deaf mute friend and his rifle toss malarkey.....And if anyone did get in and looked they would have seen nothing because the drain bent away at right angles. I believe the storm drain upon the knoll could of been used as an escape route but only if a shooter was firing from behind the picket fence while prone on the ground from a couple of feet away from it. The only evidence of this is the final head shot shown in the Zapruder film and a Harry Cabluck photograph taken from the press bus that had been doctored in the 60's and my gut....the fact I've been there and sat there a couple of times and watched cars roll down Elm towards the underpass and although I'm only a slightly above average riflemen...i could of made that shot!!!

David, In your filmed interviews with Jerold Custer(i think this was his correct name) didnt he state that during the autopsy upon removal of some internal organs they tracked a bullet path downward thru the body from torso to hips but found no bullet! How rewarding is it to know that the American taxpayer, funded people like J.J.A and A.Dulles to over throw their own government thru assassination and gave them a salary, pension and severance pay. The wealth and financial comfort these men and their families enjoyed during the 60's, 70's and even into 2022 should be reclaimed by the American people. These men did not act in the best interests of their country while employed to do so, they are thiefs in more ways then one. Reclaim the monies paid to these men and the wealth it created. You want justice for JFK thru the court system in 2022, start a class action lawsuit against the individual estates and heirs of Angleton and Dulles.....court tv and cnn would love those ratings, some real facts about the assassination and cover up can be presented in a court of law and given legal credibility for all to see. Bugliosi wanted to be a name, the money i dont think was the driving factor at first. I believe his motivation was to be famous to a degree. In the mid to late 60's tv and talk shows were just kicking into gear, publicity and notoriety was launching university speaking tours, honorary degree's, leading to more books, more fame and travel. If the CIA or FBI knew that was his personal weakness, does anyone here not believe they would have utilised his personality traits to push their agenda's. I still believe this is all one of the greatest military strategical ploys ever devised: stage 1 pull out all coalition forces. Stage 2 allow Taliban scattered across the middle east to return to Afghanistan and think they have won a great battle. Stage 3 give the Taliban 6 months to accumulate in large numbers in several cities whilst being watched by satellite and secretly installed surveillance equipment. Stage 4 make up some bullshit sighting of tactical nuclear weapons being constructed in several Afghanistan cities by Taliban. Nice presentation Gil, There is absolutely no doubt in my mind, individual's within in the DPD of 1963 aided in the assassination on a passive participation level (that being they did little to prevent the act) important DPD officials conducted terrible evidence collection and processing, poor witness interrogation, record collection and preservation, whilst several officers took part in intimidation of assassination witnesses post event for many years. I would like to hear from the forum's J.D. Tippit expert Joseph McBride on a not so simple question. From your research Mr. McBride do you think it was possible for officer Tippit to be patrolling his assigned zone prior to 12:00-12:10pm on November 22nd then drive into Dealey Plaza, take up a position behind the picket fence by 12:20-12:25pm fire one shot at 12:30pm stay behind the picket fence area for 5 to 10 minutes pretending to search/crowd control the railway yard parking area, then drive over to the Gloco fuel station by the time he was reported parked up there? Your book confirms J.D was an excellent shot with a rifle, his actions post assassination are peculiar and frantic to say the least and become incredibly suspicious due to his shooting death and the location that shooting takes place. Maybe J.D. Tippit realy is the assassinations "Rosetta stone". My problem is in 60 years no conclusive evidence/witness identification puts Tippit behind the picket fence or in touch with any known major players thought possible of being behind the assassination. Hi Mr. Caddy, From your contact and interaction with E.H Hunt, in your opinion would he be the type of man that would use his son to take one last shot at obfuscation regarding the Kennedy assassination in service to the CIA he loved working for? Would he also be the type of man to realise that any information he gave to his son could be used to profit his children financially should a book or movie be produced using his information as a foundation for the story?
