  1. Mm. Well, I'm an amateur, when it comes to computer graphics. If the question comes down to networked computers, like on the Internet, I'm even less help. But, if you have a Google email account, you have access to Google Drive, as well. A file hosting service, which some people recommend. If you are using another image hosting service, then, you might try Google Drive, and see if that works better. The other thought I had relates to the size of the file you are trying to display. If it is very large, it may be larger than the file hosting service supports. That's just me taking a guess. If that were the problem, then, perhaps I could receive the file from you, and use Photoshop to reduce the size of the file without much affecting the resolution. I could send the altered file back to you. Here's a web application that's recommended for transferring a file over the Internet: https://www.transferbigfiles.com/ That's also a file hosting site. You could try using that, instead of what you are doing. It could be that you already have software that can do what I'm suggesting doing. Also, a version of Adobe Photoshop is available as an Internet application. https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/photoshop-web-faq.html
  2. @Christian ToussayClicking up a new window does not solve the issue for me. Someone recommended Google Drive? Maybe this forum, hosted in the U.S., doesn't find an external host image to be safe to display? I wonder what is the file size of the image you try to upload. I have a working license to Photoshop. Could maybe dither to what could post?
  3. Good on you, trying to nail that down. Unfortunately, I don’t recall. Could be it’s in the book Fetzer edited. I can check that.
  4. No mention of the film depicting the turn onto Elm from Houston. The Feds claimed Zapruder started, then stopped his film, only restarting his film after the limo was pointed down Elm. Zapruder was certain he had kept filming continuously.
  5. @Christian ToussayHi, Christian. Sandy Larsen provided links to tips how to free up space here, and use other mage hosting sites to get your points across here. https://educationforum.ipbhost.com/topic/24803-forum-tips-tricks/
  6. Morley is the Sgt. Joe Friday this case needs.
  7. Thanks for the tips, y'all. @Sandy Larsen Sandy, there is one image I posted in 2020, located here: I can't edit that post to delete that ridiculous, large image (3.25 MB). That thread is pinned and locked. Any chance someone could delete that thing for me?
  8. Sure, Sandy. Me, I just flat need to do my homework. But, once again I am imprecise. Second part of my post was a non-sequitur. "This" thread, Roger's thread, was what I meant. Other threads trying to put the JFK assassination in the context of today. Is Kirk right? Are the actors today that different?
  9. Citation? I seem to recall this is disputed. Thought he was a Hollywood guy. This is a deserving thread... in the Politics folder. One won't get cooties, if one goes there.
  10. Thanks for the link, Robert. I pulled a quote from the transcript of this Democracy Now segment. Boy, does this sound familiar. https://www.democracynow.org/2024/2/22/malcolm_x_assassination_security_guards
  11. Copy and paste fail. Deleted thread no good now. Me and my big mouth.
  12. Yow! I am imagining a Quantum of Solace motion picture-like scenario, for when the seventy or eighty of the planning board met. Sidney Gottlieb and Richard Milhous Nixon, planners, but no LBJ? Having this all down in one place is a big help. Maybe I can get a vegetable garden in this year. I feel a haiku coming on.
  13. The congressman from TN-09, Memphis and Shelby County. His online press release has a quote from the letter, and a link to the full text of the letter. But, in the span of three days, that full text link doesn't work, for me. Let's see if I fiddle with Firefox if... nope.
  14. Charles Pierce wrote a piece regarding the Superbowl ad. https://www.esquire.com/news-politics/politics/a46751225/rfk-super-bowl-ad-kennedy-family/
  15. Eh. If I have to choose whether to give a buck to Amazon, or Google, owner of YouTube, I will save a buck, and go with Amazon. Those with fat pipes may gain from the HD version available from AppleTV.
  16. Wow. I did not know Larry Flynt put up that bounty. Awesome! I did not keep up with the details of the Flynt shooting, so I looked up this retrospective: https://www.atlantamagazine.com/history/larry-flynt-shot-in-lawrenceville-ga-1978/ Shot while meeting with his defense lawyer in Lawrenceville, Georgia, preparing a defense due to obscenity charges brought in Gwinnett County. Practically my old stomping ground. Another violent racist, this one upset that Flynt depicted "interracial sex." So, Cory, it's really just like the MLK, Jr. assassination. Of course, violent racists might have been behind the Kennedy assassination, too. Never mind that the authorities dropped the charges after the shooting. That makes perfect sense. I never watched the Milos Forman film mentioned in the article, either, "The People Vs. Larry Flynt." I should like to, especially for what JFKA nuggets it might contain. Y'all would know if it did, I expect. The Atlanta Magazine article concludes with this:
  17. W., yes, the jokes practically write themselves. Lichtman's second novel, I see, is entitled Calling Ukraine. Maybe I will check that out.
  18. Yow, my web browser called to my attention a new article inThe Paris Review entitled, "Invisible Ink: At the CIA’s Creative Writing Group." "Oh, really, Paris Review?" was the reaction I had when I read the title. The author, a novelist, Johannes Lichtman, early on referenced the review's origins. https://www.theparisreview.org/blog/2024/01/09/invisible-ink-at-the-cias-creative-writing-group/#more-166475
  19. I signed the gosh-durned petition already. Before James posted a link. I signed it simply to put pressure on Biden and Congress. Unitary Executive abrogation of the JFK Records Act is unacceptable. Doofus Republicans might could impeach Biden for violating it, but won't touch the issue, looks like. And yet, Leslie is right, we don't know what we don't know.
  20. It’s a short interview from 2017, Pete, “authored” or conducted by Chris Hrapsky. Here’s a little off the top:
  21. Cracking good trailer! Dr. Allen Child's 2015 book, We Were There: Revelations from the Dallas Doctors Who Attended to JFK on November 22, 1963, is another library book I racked up big late fees reading.
  22. I can't think of any natural photographic process that leaves a spurious horizontal line in place. Here's another question, what is the provenance of the "Mr. X. at the corner of Houston and Main" photograph?
