  1. After a very short googlesearch, I chose Flickr of all sites, to get some photos online. If of any interest to anyone. * Everything is taken from a 12 year old harddisk,- so many, if not all of the photos are guaranteed to be available today elsewhere, in much better resolutions. ** Have tried to sort for a few hours,- but it in itself is still terrible. *** Included one album with photos I took with my phone , of a Norwegian magazine, - published December 7th. 1963, concerning the assassination. ( My grandmother scared my mother (8 years old) - stiff, - when getting the news of JFK's death,- screaming and running back and forth between the kitchen and the livingroom. My mother says she acted like a family member had died. An example of what an impact JFK made around the world, - even up here in northern Norway, - north of the polar circle. Back then they had radio. Not sure if they had gotten a tv yet. No cellphones, no internet.) My mother's mother, - kept this magazine, and gave it to me. **** Included one album (even though it has nothing to do with the assassination) - from when LBJ, -- ridiculously enough, was scheduled to meet my father's uncle's family, on his visit to my/their hometown Bodø, - September 10th. 1963, - roughly 2 months before JFK was assassinated. My father, and his cousin (my father's uncle's daugher) explained that he actually turned down the LBJ - visit ( if it is true, - I can not prove, - but still kinda fun to think about (for me). He was traumatized in WW2, and felt it would be too much hassle,- with all the police, SS, etc. ). LBJ ended up visiting their neighbours instead. ***** Snapshots of the harddisk from the stoneage included. The Collection : https://www.flickr.com/photos/153357684@N03/albums ( Hope this one will be up longer , than the last attempt, which lasted for half a day ) .
  2. Good Day.... FYI.... http://keranews.org/post/parkland-doctor-breaks-50-year-silence-about-day-jfk-was-shot **** NOTE **** Even though doctor JOHN HENRY "Red" DUKE claims in this 2013 article that this is the first time he has spoken publicly, in fact, I remembered (and documented it on my 16,700 pages timeline) that on 11-22-03 doctor DUKE, actually, spoke publicly in a segment played on "National Public Radio," that is still available for you in transcript and audio forms, here.... http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=1516423 **** NOTE **** In the same 11-22-03 "NPR" segment doctor ROBERT G. GROSSMAN was also interviewed, claiming that he was in Parkland Hospital trauma room #1, and, he claimed that he saw President KENNEDY's head wounds up close.... Unfortunately for GROSSMAN, their are key doubts that he was actually in trauma room #1.... http://mcadams.posc.mu.edu/grossman.htm <QUOTE> Parkland Doctor Breaks 50-Year Silence About The Day JFK Was Shot By BJ AUSTIN Dr. Red Duke gets a handshake and thank you after telling the story of his work as a Parkland Hospital doctor November 22, 1963. For the first time, a doctor at Parkland Hospital in 1963 is speaking publically about his role after bullets struck President John F. Kennedy's motorcade in downtown Dallas. This year is the 50th anniversary of the President's assassination. LISTEN: http://cpa.ds.npr.org/kera/audio/2013/02/10279.mp3 Dr. Red Duke, renowned trauma surgeon from Houston was on the thoracic surgery team at Parkland Hospital in 1963. His job that day was to help save the life of wounded Texas Governor John Connally, also shot as he rode in the motorcade. After 50 years, he told his story for the first time: to hundreds of emergency medicine doctors and technicians gathered at the Dallas Sheraton for an annual conference. “We didn’t talk much about it, Duke told his audience. "Well, I never have. This is the first time I’ve ever said anything about it.” Dr. Duke recalled going downstairs to the Emergency Room, seeing crowds of people, and Jacqueline Kennedy, sitting on a chair outside Trauma Room 1 – her pink suit stained with blood. He entered, saw the President’s devastating head wound, and was quickly shifted to Trauma Room 2 to take care of the Governor. “He had this big chest wound. His lung was flopping in and out," Duke recalled. "So I stopped it up and put a chest tube in him – just like you do any other gunshot wound.” But it was the Governor of Texas, and it was a day like no other. Dr. Duke says after he stabilized Connally, they rushed him into surgery. And, for the first time ever, they had a radio in the operating room. “We heard all the things. The President’s been pronounced dead. And all the other events that followed. We heard about the officer being shot over in Oak Cliff,” Duke said. After chest surgery, more doctors arrived to repair bullet damage to Connally’s right wrist and retrieve a fragment of bullet lodged in his thigh, near the femoral artery. Two days later, Dr. Duke was back in a trauma room working to save the life of accused assassin Lee Harvey Oswald, who was shot by Jack Ruby. Dr. Duke says after the events of that November, he got out of town. He went deer hunting in Pampa Texas – a nice place to hide, he said. He says he worked that day as trained and on instinct, trying to save his patient. Any thoughts of a place in history had to wait.
