What is intringuing about the Colorado oil wells, though, was that DeMohrenschildt was apparently working there during the time he was a partner of Edward G. Hooker, his brother Dimitry's wife's son. Hooker had been the man who introduced George to Lynn Sharples, who later became a doctor. All that happened before he met the love of his life, Jeanne LeGon, whose husband Robert lived in California with their daughter Christiana until he was sent off to the mental ward in Camarillo. I wonder if there was someone there trying to find out nuclear secrets from him. I seem to recall Jeanne's brother Sergei Fomenko was also involved in atomic research in California, working for Howard Hughes and Linnet Company of Beverly Hills; then Ramo-Wooldridge in Los Angeles; then North American Aviation.

Nixon's maternal side of the family produced Thomas and Sarah Melhausen from County Kildare, Ireland and were converted to the teachings of George Fox, the founder of the Society of Friends, (Quakers) they settled in Chester Pennsylvania and Anglicanized their name to Milhous.*

Robert, I think your sense of unease is perfectly understandable. Tha way I look at it (to wit ORION topic purpose and others) is that no matter what anybody believes about these matters the fact remains that there were / are firm adherents as well as persons seeing value in propagating the esoteric. Therefore to enter their world can give valuable insights and perspectives when a subjective approach is avoided.

I just wanted to add a side tidbit in regard to the Camarillo State Mental Hospital....for those unaware of it. It is referred to as Hotel California. In fact, the Eagles song, Hotel California is about this facility and the building on the cover of the album is also of the facility. My girlfriend in 1985 worked at Camarillo (which I visited often) so when you said the Eagles Hotel California was of that facility I was a bit suprised.

I had lived in the So Cal area from 13 to 26 and had driven by the BH Hotel many times.
