The Story of Louis De Wit

Louis De Wit allegedly crossed paths with a Russian officer from Kiev in Antwerp two months before the assassination who told him JFK would be killed. His name was Ivan Kutsharenko but De Wit said there were many passports with many identities.

Edit: The document below posted out of order for some bizarre reason.

So James I take it there is no evidence he reported this encounter contemporaneously?

Or reported it to the WC after the assassination?

Any idea if anyone ever interviewed him, either an author or the HSCA?

I notice there appears to be some confusion in the document you posted whether he mailed his letter on Nov 21, 1963 or he expected it to be received at the WH on Nov 21, 1963? A rather consequential difference.

Peter, probably the HSCA should have questioned him.

But my point was that a question could be raised about the veracity of his claim if he did not make it during the life of the WC. I mean, his information, if correct, was of great and obvious importance.
