Tim Gratz
It should be mentioned that Tom Robinson, the mortician who reassembled Kennedy's skull after the autopsy, said he saw a small hole in one of the temples, and that he believed it was in the right temple. He said he filled the hole with wax. Additionally, on the afternoon of the assassination, White House press secretary Malcolm Kilduff said in a televised press conference that a bullet had struck Kennedy in the right temple and had gone through his head. Specifically, he said a bullet had struck and gone through the head, and as he said this he pointed to his right temple, adding that he'd been told this by the president's personal physician, Dr. George Burkley. Journalist Seth Kantor was present at that news conference. He recorded in his notes that Kilduff said the bullet "entered right temple." From a Michael Griffith article in "Assassination Research" Could this be why: 1. Burkley was not called as a witness before either the WC or the HSCA? 2. Burkley's attorney wrote to Sprague while Sprague headed the HSCA and told him that Burkley had evidence of a conspiracy. Or is the "small hole in the right temple" just another of the "urban legends" in this case?

Or is the "small hole in the right temple" just another of the "urban legends" in this case? To me, it looks like an entry wound in the right temple... a shot from the right front!! Also, if you correctly reattach the Harper fragment to the Fox autopsy photo of the skull you will find a second bullet hole entry wound in the rear of JFK's head!! Tim Gratz
It is certainly likely there was a shot from the reat as well. Many believe the last shots (third and fourth) were almost simultaneous. Burkley was quoted as saying that had the WC questioned him he would have suggested the brain, which was then in his possession, be sectioned so there could be a conclusive answer whether JFK was hit by a bullet from the front. It is just amazing he was not called by either investigative agency. There are indications it was he who was "controlling" the autopsy.

Tim Gratz
Terry, there were a whole lot of witnesses who said that the first shot sounded like a firecracker and the last two shots came very close together. Mr Costella prepared a great synopsis of all of the witness' statements and Jack White posted it here. It is worth reviewing. Maybe Jack or John can provide a link to that thread.
