Derek McMillan
The usenet group uk.education.teachers were asked to come up with a collection of links for end of term activities. Some of them are on http://formm.tripod.com/eclectic.htm and they really are a wide range with something for everyone and a demonstration of Homer Simpson's remark "Hey Marje did you know they use the internet for things ofher than porn now!" It includes the political compass and you might be amused or alarmed by the results for the Socialist Party in the UK...... Economic Left/Right -8.8 is hardly surprising Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -8.26 might raise a few eyebrows! Have a nice day Derek McMillan http://socialistteachers.tripod.com

Derek McMillan
I have many bad habits, Andy, one of them is putting up a link here before uploading the page. It should work now. http://formm.tripod.com/eclectic.htm Apologies for the adverts. They are the price we pay for a free website. My old mother used to say there is no such thing as a free website! Maggie Jarvis
Some nice 'bits' in there Derek - especially like the frog dissection with the 'chop chop' sound effects and organs that fly out of the frog body by themselves! Should keep some of our little darlings mesmerised!!
John Simkin
Apologies for the adverts. They are the price we pay for a free website. My old mother used to say there is no such thing as a free website! I thought your website was financed by the same people who paid for mine. Mind you, the KGB did tell me they were cutting back on overseas spending. Maybe you could cut a deal with MI5. I hear they need some support at the moment. I am reliably informed that Peter Mandelson was recruited in 1976 (via British Youth Council), Charles Clarke in 1978 (World Festival of Youth) and Tony Blair in 1986 after a trip to the States (he attended his first Bilderberg Group meeting in 1993). It is not known for certain when Jonathan Powell joined but it was during the time he worked at the British Embassy in Washington. David Milliband came on board while studying at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Derek McMillan
IPOF the KGB did a rather more efficient job of killing people of my political persuasion than MI5 did....but it was a damned close run thing. Meanwhile back at the point the links page is now up http://formm.tripod.com/eclectic.htm and I am glad people have found it useful.
