Joyce Lee Weatherspoon McDonald, AKA Joy Dale. Saw Ruby at 3:00 PM on 11/22. Ruby was crying. Referred to Ruby's close friendship with Detective Bob Carroll and Tony Zoppi, DMN.

Elaine Rogers, friend of Marilyn Moone. Ruby was making obscene phone calls to her.

pdf 341 - 342. Karen Bennett Carlin (spelled Karlin), AKA Little Lynn. Last saw Ruby on Thursday night. Went to work on Saturday and the Club was closed. Arranged to borrow $5.00 from Ruby through the attendant at Nichols garage. She called Ruby at 10:00 to 10:30 on Sunday 11/24 to borrow $25.00 to pay her rent.

pdf 342. Marilyn Miranda Moone, stripper. Thought Ruby was a homosexual and was overly aggresive to people to cover up his inferiority complex. Ruby also made calls to Marilyn that were almost obscene.

Reagan Turman, professional boxer. Ruby fought continually, meaning five or six times a week. The victims of Ruby's assaults were either a person who had been drinking heavily or someone Ruby could easily whip.

Al Bright, Corpus Christie knows a former bookkeeper at Carousel named Mike Ryan or Roy Pike. This person furnished information that Ruby was friendly with James Hoffa and the "syndicate." Says Ruby is the payoff man for the DPD. Whenever police raids are to be made on the Dallas underworld, Ruby would always be contacted first by some unknown person in the DPD. Bright has not seen this informant since March, 1963.

Roy William Pike is the person referred to by Bright. Says he does not believe Ruby has any real or actual contact with James Hoffa or the "syndicate." Says he has no information that Ruby is the "payoff man for the DPD."

Mrs. Paul Calgrove, AKA Najada. At a New Year's Eve party in 1961, Ruby slapped her. She wanted to press charges with a Lt. or Capt. in the Vice Squad who was present. The officer laughed at her and told her she was crazy. Numerous police officers would go into Ruby's office and emerge carrying a bottle of whiskey.

Mr. William Simmons, 2530 W. 5th. Irving. Lives in the immediate neighborhood of Michael Payne (sp), but says he's never seen Ruby being in that neighborhood.

Frank Ferraro got in a fight with Ruby in 1962. Ruby hit him with a set of brass knuckles that sent him to the emergency room at Parkland Hospital.

Herbert Charles David Kelly, former kitchenman about 1959. Each Sunday night, Ruby would entertain as many as eight law enforcement officers, furnishing them with expensive dinners and drinks. Ruby has a persecution complex.

Gladys Craddock, part time hostess. Ruby told her Jada was using the Club to prostitute.

Abe Weinstein won't talk to Ruby because he doesn't like his ethics.

Cleeve Dugas, New Orleans. Knows of Ruby being in New Orleans on at least two occasions about August, 1962.

Al Bright, Corpus Christie knows a former bookkeeper at Carousel named Mike Ryan or Roy Pike. This person furnished information that Ruby was friendly with James Hoffa and the "syndicate." Says Ruby is the payoff man for the DPD. Whenever police raids are to be made on the Dallas underworld, Ruby would always be contacted first by some unknown person in the DPD. Bright has not seen this informant since March, 1963.

Roy William Pike is the person referred to by Bright. Says he does not believe Ruby has any real or actual contact with James Hoffa or the "syndicate." Says he has no information that Ruby is the "payoff man for the DPD."

Mrs. Paul Calgrove, AKA Najada. At a New Year's Eve party in 1961, Ruby slapped her. She wanted to press charges with a Lt. or Capt. in the Vice Squad who was present. The officer laughed at her and told her she was crazy. Numerous police officers would go into Ruby's office and emerge carrying a bottle of whiskey.

Carousel was open for business on Monday 11/25 on instructions from Eva Grant. Said Larry Crafard left the premises on Saturday 11/23 and never returned.

Billy Joe Willis, drummer at Carousel. Ruby not interested in current events. Spoke of Castro in a derogatory manner. Talked to Ruby on the phone the afternoon of 11/23. "Thinks he has seen person in the Club resembling photo of Oswald, but is not sure."

Nancy Powell, AKA Tammi True. Last saw Ruby on 11/19. Quit because of commuting problems. Ruby definitely not homosexual. Ruby told Jada to "clean up her act." Ruby threatened to throw Jada down the stairs.

Sherry Angel Weston, wife of Wally Weston. Ruby goes into insane rages. It was rumored that Ruby beat his sister quite severly. Ruby shot Oswald to make a name for himself and get nationwide publicity. Thinks he may have only wanted to wound Oswald.

Joyce Lee Weatherspoon McDonald, AKA Joy Dale. Saw Ruby at 3:00 PM on 11/22. Ruby was crying. Referred to Ruby's close friendship with Detective Bob Carroll and Tony Zoppi, b]Group 63[/bDMN.

Elaine Rogers, friend of Marilyn Moone. Ruby was making obscene phone calls to her.

pdf 341 - 342. Karen Bennett Carlin (spelled Karlin), AKA Little Lynn. Last saw Ruby on Thursday night. Went to work on Saturday and the Club was closed. Arranged to borrow $5.00 from Ruby through the attendant at Nichols garage. She called Ruby at 10:00 to 10:30 on Sunday 11/24 to borrow $25.00 to pay her rent.

pdf 342. Marilyn Miranda Moone, stripper. Thought Ruby was a homosexual and was overly aggresive to people to cover up his inferiority complex. Ruby also made calls to Marilyn that were almost obscene.

Reagan Turman, professional boxer. Ruby fought continually, meaning five or six times a week. The victims of Ruby's assaults were either a person who had been drinking heavily or someone Ruby could easily whip.

Al Bright, Corpus Christie knows a former bookkeeper at Carousel named Mike Ryan or Roy Pike. This person furnished information that Ruby was friendly with James Hoffa and the "syndicate." Says Ruby is the payoff man for the DPD. Whenever police raids are to be made on the Dallas underworld, Ruby would always be contacted first by some unknown person in the DPD. Bright has not seen this informant since March, 1963.

Roy William Pike is the person referred to by Bright. Says he does not believe Ruby has any real or actual contact with James Hoffa or the "syndicate." Says he has no information that Ruby is the "payoff man for the DPD."

Mrs. Paul Calgrove, AKA Najada. At a New Year's Eve party in 1961, Ruby slapped her. She wanted to press charges with a Lt. or Capt. in the Vice Squad who was present. The officer laughed at her and told her she was crazy. Numerous police officers would go into Ruby's office and emerge carrying a bottle of whiskey.

"Mrs. Paul Salos, Tampa, FL has been at the Carousel and found Ruby to be polite, courteous and considerate and always the gentleman. It should be noted that this person is an entertainer who has never worked for Ruby."

pdf 343. Bobby "Tiny" Simmons, Texas Penitentiary. Worked as a musician in the Silver Spur. Says Ruby was a stool pigeon for the DPD. Police officers were given fre meals and drinks and women were also made available.

Mr. William Simmons, 2530 W. 5th. Irving. Lives in the immediate neighborhood of Michael Payne (sp), but says he's never seen Ruby being in that neighborhood.

Frank Ferraro got in a fight with Ruby in 1962. Ruby hit him with a set of brass knuckles that sent him to the emergency room at Parkland Hospital.

Herbert Charles David Kelly, former kitchenman about 1959. Each Sunday night, Ruby would entertain as many as eight law enforcement officers, furnishing them with expensive dinners and drinks. Ruby has a persecution complex.

Gladys Craddock, part time hostess. Ruby told her Jada was using the Club to prostitute.

Jan Humphrey called Ruby about a job. He told her to come to his apartment, where he made "perverted sexual advances to her."

Benny Bickers, University Club. Ruby wouldn't pay his strippers and when they would ask for their pay, he would get mad and beat them up. Says Ruby furnished information on other Clubs to the DPD.

Barney Weinstein. Ruby hit people for no reason. He has heard that Ruby has loaned his girls to private parties without going through the AGVA.

Abe Weinstein won't talk to Ruby because he doesn't like his ethics.

Cleeve Dugas, New Orleans. Knows of Ruby being in New Orleans on at least two occasions about August, 1962.

It's an interesting question. There is no Burros or Burroughs listed in Batchelor's Exhibit 5002.

I'm assuming you've seen the ARRB Medical Exhibits 237 and 238. The ARRB asked the City of Dallas and Dallas County if they had any information on Burros, Weitzman and the bone fragment. Dallas County wrote Doug Horne back and said, "Gary Mack, Archivist for the Dallas County Historical Foundation (to whom Dallas County turned over all their records) has reviewed all material in their collection and reports that no information is available about Seymour Weitzman, a bone fragment, or David Burros or Burroughs."

The name Burros or Burroughs does not appear in the index of the DPD Archives.

If the ARRB did find "Burros/Burroughs", where or where is his interview?? Long story short, Davis Burris remains a witness know only from a previously unpublished photo I found at NARA, and a receipt by Burkley where his mane is likely misspelled (Burros).

In his WC testimony, Weitzman talks about receiving a bone fragment from someone and turning it over to a Secret Service Agent. He speaks of this prior to his entering the TSBD.

In my essay entitled, Secret Service: On the Knoll and Beyond, in the online seminars on this website, I postulate that Wetzman more than likely encountered on of the bogus Secret Service Agents in and around Dealey Plaza, since the first known SS Agent to enter the Plaza was Forrest Sorrels and Sorrels didn't enter the Plaza until well after the search of the TBD was well under way.

I went through Studebaker's WC testimony, but they didn't ask him about any bone fragments.

In my essay entitled, Secret Service: On the Knoll and Beyond, in the online seminars on this website, I postulate that Wetzman more than likely encountered on of the bogus Secret Service Agents in and around Dealey Plaza, since the first known SS Agent to enter the Plaza was Forrest Sorrels and Sorrels didn't enter the Plaza until well after the search of the TBD was well under way.

I went through Studebaker's WC testimony, but they didn't ask him about any bone fragments.

Here is the foot note on the ARRB and Burros from an upcoming essay of mine:

"The ARRB claimed to have determined that “David Burros” was a DPD motorcycle officer and that he turned a skull fragment over to Weitzman [ARRB Final Report, pg. 140]. Yet as far as the City of Dallas was concerned, no one by the name of David Burros had ever worked for the DPD, which is what they twice told the ARRB. Margaret McGee told me in a telephone conversation on September 16, 2002 that she vaguely recalled the ARRB-initiated search for “Burros.” [The ARRB used the Burkley typo version Burros] She also related that her records went back no farther than 1975 and would not have covered the period of the assassination. At my request, she checked her files for a “David Burros or Burris” and reported that no record of could be found. However, she did find a “David Burroughs” who was “hired in 1982.” Obviously, this is not the 1963 “Burros” being sought by the ARRB. Additionally, an employee of the DPD payroll records office checked payroll files at my request. A day later she reported that no payroll records existed for a “David Burros, Burroughs, or Burris” from 1964 going back as far as the records reached, which was the “mid-1920’s.” Intriguingly, according to the information in CE-5002, there was a Burris on the DPD payroll in November 1963. His first name was not David, but Homer, and he worked in CID- Burglary and Theft [19H146]. It is interesting to note that “Dallas motorcycle policeman” “David Burros’ ” supposed historic recollections are not recounted anywhere in the ARRB files. Indeed, no ARRB information about “David Burros” and his story exists outside that single, slim paragraph in the ARRB Final Report."

I seem to remember reading a document, which I can't locate at the moment, that states George Burkley took possession of the so called Burros fragment from Secret Service agent Robert Bouck, which was then handed over to Bethesda Naval Hospital.

The ARRB Medical Exhibits 237 and 54 that I cited above have a copy of Burkley's receipt of the fragment from Bouck.
