Gary Mack has informed me that I am correct that the man in Altgens is not a Dallas Police officer, and that he appears to be a Sheriff's Department deputy or a similar county officer.

And his name is not Edgar Leon Smith?

thanks.

Robin,

The man labeled Officer Joe Smith is almost certainly Joe Marshall Smith. An easy way to tell is by the distinctive array of three pens in his pocket, which are clearly visible in a Dallas Times Herald photograph on page 515 of Pictures of the Pain.

Gary Mack.

Thanks Gary.

A better view of Jackie's little white dog she is showing to JFK.

Jack

I didn't reply Jack because it has NO relevance to the rest of the thread.

I thought it WAS relevant. The photo showed Jackie and JFK looking at

each other. Other photos at the same moment show Jackie holding the

"dog". I think that is relevant. Sorry.

Jack

No Problem Jack.

Assuming this is Bond (1) and Bond (2) where is Bond 3

Robin,

Those two are Bonds 2 and 3.

Bond 1 shows a motrocycle(s) rounding the corner.

I will change the image listing in my gallery.

Do you know where i can obtain a copy of Bond 1 ?

Cheers.

Mr. Unger, Jack's photo is relevant because he mentioned what Jackie and President Kennedy were discussing in his last moments alive. Then Jack posted the photo of the toy dog. Didn't one of the witnesses say she saw a dog in the limo when Kennedy got shot and people thought she was nuts?

I realize this thread is about the positions of various photographers in the Plaza. I feel Jack was inputting a story behind one of those pictures. He has a lot of knowledge.

Hi Kathy.

Yes Jean Hill said she saw a white dog in the Limo.

If you read a little further into my post, you would see that i assisted jack by posting the High Resolution Bond Scan, and he thanked me for my assistance.

This is not a Bond or Muchmore image, but a "mystery image" taken from their direction.

I posted this comparison a year or so ago and never got any definitive answer to the mystery.

So I am trying again.

Jack that mystery image is from the movie "JFK"

Just look at Jean Hills blond hair (like the actress in the movie JFK had)

Jack pop in your JFK DVD and go to 2 hours 58 minutes and 44 seconds

Its when Kevin Costner is saying "Patrolman Joe Smith"

And it shows him running across the street

Someone took this image from the film JFK and posted it as a still photo and didnt say it was from the film JFK

It was a sceen filmed by Oliver Stone in the old film stock fashion

Thanks, Dean...now that you mention it...I think that someone did say that

when I posted it comparison before, and I forgot! I did not spot the blond

hair on Lolita.

If the man in black was not in the way, the moved lamppost would show.

While on the subject of photo interpretation, I have always been

mystified by the twin blonde ladies by the lamppost seen in the Bronson slide.

If someone wants to discuss Bronson, we can start another thread.

No problem Jack

A long time ago someone tried to show me a still frame from the film that Stone shot from Zapruders location (the part that shows the actor playing JFK lurch forward in reaction to the back shot) and claimed it was a picture taken from someone standing close to Zapruder

I poured over the movie and found the exact point in the movie he took the image from and called him on it

Jack,

I would love to discuss Bronson, I have studied it in detail for a long time

I think a new thread about Bronson's pictures and film (and the blond twins) would be great, I would have alot to say and add
