What I mean by " Who are they " is this;

I am asking those on this forum I respect, such as the Kelly's, the White's, and the Speer's ect. ect... to help me fiqure out who sat on the high throne and manipulated and checked and double checked on info coming in so that all info correlated and dove tailed to a false [but to the unwashed masses] plauseable set of events that came to be the official story of the assassination?

It seems to me there had to be a set of lawyers and powerful actors setting in an information clearinghouse wading through intelligence as it came barreling in saying, " This fits. This does'nt. This has to be moved to stay in the time line. Oh yeah, we need to place a bus ticket on OZ, discount or discredit these witnessess, and build on these other witnessess.

I don't see a clearinghouse operation for the first couple of days after the assassination, but one had to be building.

There were'nt, to my knowledge, assassination cover-up software packages available in 1963 for computers to help.

I do see a large room probably in Dallas somewhere with chalk boards, legal pads, type writers, pointers clocks, coffee, cigars, top secret rubber stamps getting worn out, and heavy security all around!

I can see the demoted Bill Harvey who developed the concept of Manchurain Candidate or David Atlee Philips propoganda expert easily running back-room ops for the JFK cover-up. Heck there may still be an intelligence apparatus for the JFK cover-up still in force.

Please note author Sprague and others point out George W. Bush was named head of the CIA during the House Assasination Committee Investigations to replace Jesse Helm because Helms was cooperating too much with the Committee. Once Poppy Bush took over the investigations ground to a stop.

William Colby was probably murdered in the spring of 1996. He died under extremely suspicious circumstances. The one person with enough hierarchy to order a hit on William Colby would be George Herbert Walker Bush, not that he is the only suspect.

Bush replaced Colby at CIA in 1976 because Colby was revealing just SOME of the CIA's dirty secrets.

It seems no accident that Albert E. Jenner, Jr. was given the responsibilities in the WC investigation we have a record of to pour over and to analyze, most interesting of which is probably Jenner's investigation of DeMohrenschildt and the people around him, never quite directly getting to Demohrenschildt's nephew and later business partner, the man who introduced George to this second wife, Wynne Sharples, the man who was the school roommate of George Bush, and who chose the first cousin of Cord Meyer as the best man at his wedding, Edward G. Hooker. The WC never covered the details of the NY Times article describing Demohrenschildt's 1943 wedding to Dorothy Pierson, the bride with no attendants and the groom DeMohrenschildt with two best men, his brother, Dimitri, and Baron Sten Goddert Wrede of the Finnish legation, a man married in 1925 to wealthy American heiress Alida Fitzgerald. Norman Mailer covers Albert Jenner's questioning of Gary Taylor, son-in-law of DeMohrenschildt and Dorothy Pierson, but no one has ever covered Jenner and the WC's omission of any attention to Wrede, suspected as a Nazi spy along with others in the Finnish legation.

All of it....Jenner's ties to Henry Crown, Tom Clark vouching for Jenner, according to Earl Warren, Drew Pearson coming back from the dead declaring that Tom Clark told him James Ragen fingered Crown as a top figure in the Chicago mob hierarchy, and Clark and Jenner both subsequently hiring Crown's son, John, and even Warren, just a year after the WC report was issued, selecting Paul Ziffren's son as his SCOTUS law clerk.

Jenner was publicized as representing Allen Dorfman after the WC, but no one has written about Jenner's representation of the Dorfman's first union health insurance customer, in 1953, Frank Darling, business manager of the huge Chicago electrical workers union local, or of Jenner's helping the lawyer of the Dorfmans, Pritzkers, and Teamsters' Central State Pension fund, Stanford Clinton, avoid a conflict of interests by Jenner representing the Teamsters' pension fund in loan transactions for the Pritzkers Las Vegas hotel expansion.

If you open this door, it leads to DeMohrenschildt and Clemard Joseph Charles meeting with Bush business partner and CIA's Thomas Devine, and Clemard Charles relationship with James R. Greene, Nixon's man in Peru, and later a co-author of a report on the Caribbean with Bush's man, Brent Scowcroft. Rionda Braga becomes involved in several ways; his executive and Kleberg and CIA asset Michael JP Jack Malone is involved with DeMohrenschildt contact Joseph Dryer, Rionda Braga's son marries Edward G. hooker's daughter with Bush escorting her down the wedding aisle, and Braga's first cousin, Placido Ervesun is married to the sister of the Russian wife of Ernest Byfield, Jr. Byfield's mother is "reluctantly" leasing here Glen Ora estate to JFK, and Byfield's longtime hotel executive, Patrick Hoy is working for Henry Crown and steering Crown and Conrad Hilton to Sidney Korshak.

Byfield and Hoy have very close ties to Irv Kupcinet, and Kupcinet has very close ties to the Colitz brothers who were close to Jack Ruby. Later, Byfield's Russian wife dies and he marries an Italian countess. Byfield dies after nearly thirty years in this second marriage, and Robert Strange McNamara marries Byfield's widow in 2004, at age 88.

The senate committee investigation of the TFX contract award abruptly halted on 15, December, 1963, and Henry Crown went on to become a billionaire. Albert Jenner became a board member of Crown's General Dynamics. Crown's son Lester's wife, Renee Schine, was the sister of G David Schine, manager of the Ambassador Hotel in LA where RFK was shot and killed in 1968. The Schine family lives in the same small NY state town as Ruby roommate George Senator, and Ruby mob contact, Joe "the wop" Cataldo.

Lester Crown was Obama's earliest billionaire political backer, followed by Penny Pritzker. WC commissioner and FBI snitch, Gerald Ford became America's only unelected president, and father and son George Bush occupied the office of VP or President of the United States for 20 of 28 years between 1981 and 2009.

My point, Jim, is there is no way to know what is relevant and what isn't and what was purposely investigated and given attention to, and what was intended to be omitted from on the record scrutiny. What is coincidental?

Bushes and Crowns and Ford won big, Kennedys, Schines, Hoffa, ordinary people of the U.S., not so much.

Interesting topic. 

I don’t have Conein on my radar and I see Landsdale as a commanding officer, with expertise and a plan of his own in the Psy Ops side of things. 

As far as planning, communications, strategic and (high level) tactical decisions  and executive authority for ongoing operations I see Phillips, Hunt, William F. Buckley, and Liddy. 

This description of Liddy’s planing capabilities is humorous but I think there is another, better description of Liddy’s plans for operation “Gemstone” (Watergate). This is Halderman, Talking to Nixon.. “There were these
meetings in Mitchell`s office, uh, where
Liddy unveiled his plan.  And the first plan
he unveiled, uh, nobody bought.  They all
laughed at it.  Cause it was so bizarre
So he went back to the drawing, board and
came back with a second plan and the second plan didn`t get, bought either.”

The penchant for writing these spy novels, that Hunt, Liddy, and Phillips had, I surmise, were excercises of the imagination; playbooks, if you will, that was meant to give these guys the ability to form a plan, react to contingencies, execute on both and know how the other guys think.
