He does not mention the Nov 19th articles, as well as the one he references on the 20th, that discuss an 11:30 landing time and the route.

He prefeaces this section with the Carolyn Arnold info and does offer the question as to why an assassin would be sitting on the 2nd floor at 12:15 when the limo would be passing the window around 12:25... (I would have added, 'at the very latest given the available information.)

He does mention Reid in the context of Oswald passing her with a coke in his hand... but nothing about Reid's time in the lunchroom or her testimony... or that fact that she spoke to her husband who knew from the radio that motorcade was at least 10 mins late...

Since his book is not a microexamination of these details I feel he at least covers the concept... but that where it ends.

Was the scenario involving James K. Cogswell III, actually a multi agency effort to deflect the HSCA's attention away from ONI? Too many coincidences... Cogswell had been married to the daughter of Will Farish III's inheritance trustee; Farish became GHW Bush's "best friend." De Mohrenshildt's 1942, Washington DC housemate, later Rear Admiral Harry Hull's wife was Cogswell's first cousin. Their landlord, later retired Rear Admiral Paul L. Joachim was brutally shot to death in Oct., 1962. Joachim's step-father was the designer of US Navy codebreakers' first Underwood Code Machine aka the Kata-Kana Typewriter. Carl A. Joerissen became Paul Joachim's stepfather when Paul was 8 years old. Later four star Navy Admiral William K Phillips became Harry Hull's step-uncle when Harry was 13 years old. Cogswell's sister, Theodora, is referred to as being part of the OP, by the HSCA. One of Cogswell's aunts, wife of his uncle, Capt. Francis Cogswell, retired from the CIA in 1954. His other aunt, Bianca Harrington Cogswell, daughter of Admiral James K Cogswell, I, first married a man named Clement, and then married Capt. Donald C. Bingham. When her daughter, Louisa, married Harry Hull, Cogswell's aunt became Harry's mother-in-law. I am not even sure the following material is relevant to the points you are making, but Veciana's name meshes with the mysteries I have worked on. Cogswell, from McCloy's Amherst Universtiy knew Veciana somehow, and so did his sister. Cogswell's fathe invented an indoor tennis or squash court arrangement, of interest to Henry Brunie, McCloy, Brunie's wife, Anna Fuller Hubbard the mother of the Charles Hubbard who was an usher, along with Thomas Devine, in the 1955 wedding of CIA's Albert B. Carter, Jr, and also CD Jackson's wife, the two ladies being competitive tennis players appearing in sports headlines of their day. Cogswell's grandfather was the namesake of a WWII destroyer aboard which, Cogswell served. Cogswell's aunt worked for the CIA.

Cogswell was a friend of Joseph F. Dryer, a man who knew DeMohrenschildt and engaged in the Kenaf cultivation business with Braga's Michael JP "Jack" Malone, aka "Ampatrin". Dryer and his wife, in 1963 housed several members of the illfated Bay of Pigs battalion in their West Palm mansion upon their repatriation to the U.S. Dryer married a cuban national whose father owned a pharma company.

One of many things here I find hard to understand is why alphabet agencies needed Dryer to provide intel on Clemard Charles. Who would know Charles better than his Manny Hanny banker benefactor, James R. Greene, a colleague of Francis Plimpton and later part of Bushes inner circle, ala CFR and Scowcroft. Greene was dispatched by Nixon to Peru to demand the return of nationalized U.S. corporate assets.

He immediately launched a discussion of the Cuban political situation and noted his strong feeling that the only solution was the assassination of Castro. AMRAZZ-1 did not let on Cogswell’s confidence. Shortly thereafter, AMRAZZ-1 had to continue on to the Institute.

d. AMRAZZ-1 was not able to see Cogswell again until April 21. Cogswell told AMRAZZ-1 that on on Sunday night, April 17, 1966, he had introduced Veciana to Livingston. The latter two had spoken in private after which Veciana came away very pleased, but did not disclose anything except that he had a plan to assassinate Fidel Castro. Veciana did not ask Cogwell to collect any funds for the project. Cogswell said he did not talk to Livingstone about his interview.

e. Cogswell told AMRAZZ-1 that Livingstone had indicated to him that he would be visiting Miami in about three weeks. Livingstone did not state the purpose of his visit. Cogswell gave Livingstone AMRAZZ-1’s name and address as a reference. Livingstone promised Cogswell to call on AMRAZZ-1 when he visited Miami.

In a dispatch titled “Alleged KUBARK Officer in Contact with Cuban Who is Planning Castro Assassination Plot" the CIA stated:

I. In response to Reference A's request for JMWAVE's views on the possibility that FNU LIVINGSTONE of Reference B may be identical with Mitchell Livingston WERBELL III we feel that there is little doubt that LIVINGSTON is in fact WERBELL. According to his file, WERBELL appears to be low level would-be con man who has a history of being involved in CASTRO assassination schemes and of professing to be connected or at least in contact with KUBARK. According to AMRAZZ-1 "LIVINGSTON" was involved with Antonio VECIANA's alleged assassintaion plot and he was masquerading as a KUBARK officer. If WERBELL's present activities are as fruitful as his past business ventures, JMWAVE believes that he poses no threat to any serious KUBARK activities.

2. LIVINGSTON has as yet failed to call an AMRAZZ-1 as ho had promised COGSWELL in Now York City. PHILIP G. ELMARD [CIA 201-259910 (deleted) 25301]

Cogswell was described as a New York attorney who raised funds for Eloy Gutierrez Menoyo. Antonio Veciana worked for the Office of Capital Development of the Agency for International Development as a consultant at the Central Bank of La Paz, Bolivia, with an office in the Passport Division of the American Embassy, circa April 1968 to June 30, 1972. Veciana believed that BISHOP was instrumental in getting the job with the Agency for International Development, because he himself was surprised the Agency would hire a known terrorist and anti-Castro activist. Antonio Veciana was hired by the Agency for International Development, although his application was unsigned. The CIA commented, "Veciana was (deleted)." Gaeton Fonzi reported that Antonio Veciana told him he did very little banking. Instead he spent his time working for BISHOP.

THE ASSASSINATION ATTEMPT AGAINST CASTRO, CHILE, 1971

Antonio Veciana and BISHOP instigated a scheme to assassinate Fidel Castro in Chile in 1971. According to Antonio Veciana, BISHOP suggested the operation and provided the weapon, a lethal news camera. (CIA rogue agent Edwin P. Wilson produced similar devices for the Libyans.) During Veciana's narcotics conspiracy trial in New York City, Augustin Barres, one of his co-defendants testified that he had given Reinaldo Abreu $2,000 in 1971 in furtherance of this plot. [uSDC SDNY 74-1219] The HSCA reported:

Although BISHOP directed the operation, and provided Veciana with intelligence information, Veciana himself recruited anti-Castro Cuban associates in Caracas to take part in the attempt. Part of the plan to assassinate Castro in Chile in 1971, said Veciana, called for Chilean military bodyguards to capture the assassins before Castro's people could kill them. BISHOP, said Veciana, made the requisite arrangements with the Chilean military.

Without his knowledge, Veciana said, his Cuban exile associates in Caracas introduced a new element into the plan, a scheme to blame the assassination on certain Russian agents in Caracas. The associates even produced phony documents and photographs. When BISHOP later found out about this unauthorized part of the scheme, he was extremely upset, and he accused Veciana of being part of it. Although Veciana told BISHOP he had no knowledge of it, BISHOP apparently did not believe him and eventually suggested their relationship be terminated.

In a report to Senator George McGovern in 1975, Castro provided information detailing the plot and accused "counter-revolutionaries from Alpha-66" as co-conspirators. Veciana himself was not specifically mentioned. Max Lesnick, editor and publisher of Replica, the most prominent Spanish-language weekly publication in the Miami Cuban exile community, said he was aware of Veciana's involvement in the assassination attempt at the time. He said, however, Veciana told him it was his "own plan" and did not mention the involvement of MAURICE BISHOP. Lesnick could not identify BISHOP, but said he always did think that Veciana had "some high government contacts, probably CIA.

Veciana stated the Lucilo Pena, a Cuban-born graduate of Auburn University in Georgia, was a co-conspirator in the plot to assassinate Castro in Chile....

One thing everyone on this list seems to agree on is the absolute integrity of Pete Brewton. His book came out the year I was in Houston working with the Harris County Attorney on his investigation of the judge Pete mentioned in chapter nine. Although my role was very minor, I developed an obsession about putting such people away. I passed my research on to Pete because he has so much credibility in this field.

The CIA scam Pete was investigating in Houston involved a "mule" named Robert Corson, who had been the son-in-law of one of Harris County's biggest land developers.The scheme the county judge was involved in involved a bribe made by Corson to Lindsay to build a county road through land Corson was purchasing from a corporation called General Homes. This corporation had moved to Houston from Phoenix. It also had ties to Florida. When I called Pete to ask about General Homes, he didn't have much information. He referred me to a researcher named Rebecca Sims, who told me that the Bronfmans had been involved in General Homes for a time.

That was how my innocuous research began to overlap with the Kennedy assassination investigation--since, according to the Torbitt Document, the Bronfmans had been involved in Permindex in Montreal. Clay Shaw had been on the board of directors of Centro Mondiale Commerciale, the Italian arm of Permindex.

The attorney for Centro Mondiale Commerciale in Rome was Carlo d’Amelio, who was also attorney for the Paravicini Bank in Berne, Switzerland, which set up a bank in Houston with some of George Bush's friends and investment bankers, as well as with the Bronfmans' Seagrams corporation. The bank's directors included J. Hugh Liedtke (Bush's former partner in Zapata) and Bush’s securities adviser, W.S. Farish III, whose grandfather was a founder of Humble Oil (Exxon). Called "Bank for Investment and Credit Berne" (BICB), its stock was owned by Capital National Bank of Houston and Paravicini Bank, but investors included Seagrams, Boeing, the London subsidiary of Brown and Root and the Schlesinger Organization of London and Johannesburg.

The BICB was located across the street from the Humble Oil Building on Main Street, in which the Main Bank of Houston officed. John Connally and his Saudi friends were owners of Main Bank. Interesting, is it not that both banks were located in buildings controlled by oil companies? Main Bank by Exxon and BICB by Conoco. BICB's president was a cousin of James A. Baker III, a man named Baker Lovett, who was also related to the first president of Rice University, whose endowment was controlled by the Baker family. Seagrams also owned a great deal of stock in Conoco and caused a major eruption with DuPont in 1981 over who would control the company.

W.S. Farish III had controlling interest in his family's investment banks--Underwood Neuhaus and W.S. Farish & Co. These were both located in the Houston Club Building where George Bush had his office when he first moved to Houston. In 1973 Farish III became a director of Houston Natural Gas (now Enron). His grandfather, W.S. Farish, Sr., had been chairman of Standard Oil of New Jersey prior to World War II. W.A. Harriman & Co. helped Jersey Standard finance a merger with I.G. Farben. Farish's grandmother was Libbie Randon Rice Farish (wife of W.S. Farish, Sr.), who was the greatniece of William Marsh Rice and daughter of Jonas S. Rice, former president of Union National Bank of Houston. W.S. Farish III's aunt was Martha Botts Farish Gerry, who was married to Averell Harriman's nephew, Edward H. Gerry.

W.S. III's grandmother's sisters were Ella Rice Winston (whose first husband was Howard Hughes, Jr.) and Kate Rice Neuhaus (whose son, Hugo V. Neuhaus, Jr., married the mother of W.S. Farish III after his father died) and Laura Rice Neff. The Farishes, Rices and Winstons were also married into the family of attorney Charles I. Francis, whose daughters were Anne Francis Farish and Martha Francis Winston. Their children included Charles F. Winston, Stephen P. Farish III and George Rice Farish. J.O. Winston, Jr., who was president of W.S. Farish & Co. investment company at one time, was Ella Rice Winston's husband. George Rice Farish was named for George Rice, a named partner in Butler Binion, a law firm which represented Farish's banks.

The two oil companies were connected through the Farish family. Farish Sr., one of the founders of Humble Oil in 1917, became a director of Jersey Standard in 1926, moved to New York in 1933, and became chairman in 1938. His office was at 30 Rockefeller Plaza. When he died in 1942, followed by his son’s death the next year, his estate fell to his grandson, W.S. Farish III, who was then 4 years old. The guardian of the minor child’s estate was his uncle, Stephen Power Farish, married to one of the Rice heirs, until 1960. The minor’s investments were managed by Underwood, Neuhaus. Steve Farish worked at Humble Oil until 1922 until he left to form Navarro Oil which was sold in 1945 to the Continental Oil Co. (later Conoco).

The Rice family was related to Howard Hughes, Jr. through his mother's sister's husband also. It is a Rice heir who acquired control of the Hughes empire--Fred R. Lummis, a former attorney with Andrews, Kurth. Before James A. Baker III went to Washington, D.C. to work in the Reagan administration, he was an attorney for Andrews, Kurth, which has always represented Humble Oil and Exxon and had offices in the same building. When Baker returned from Washington, he joined his great-grandfather's firm, Baker and Botts, which represents Enron and major utility companies.

(81) An FBI memorandum dated September 15, 1942, stated that

at that time de Mohrenschildt lived at 3022 Benton Street NW., in

Washington, D.C., with Quinton Keynes, whom the memorandum

described as a member of British intelligence, and two American

schildt was allegedly "very pro-Nazi." (208)

(82) In October 1942 the FBI interviewed the man who rented the

Benton Street house, Paul Joachim. Joachim told the FBI that he

was employed at the time in the Navy building. (209) The other occu-

There is nothing to contradict, his assertions, on the contrary. There are several persons who mention the floodlights being brought up, except

mention of name of who did this are sparse, if at all in the WC depo's.

I just found a short obit for James K. Cogswell,III:

It looks to me that Cogswell and Harrison, London, is coincidental, but my knowledge of James "Jack" "Jake" K. Cogswell III only extends back to his grandfather, Adm. James K. Cogswell, I, USN, who died in 1907. James III's grandfather had two sons and a daughter.

One son was Capt. Francis Cogswell, and the WWII USN destroyer Cogswell was named to owner him, and his father, the admiral. The other son was James K Cogswell, II, father of James K. III, and co-inventor of platform tennis. The daughter of the Admiral James K. I, was Bianca, mother-in-law of Harry Hull, when Hull was rooming with DeMohrenschildt in DC, and until her death, in 1978. I think.

Capt. Francis Cogswell dies in 1939, and his wife was a "secretary" at CIA until her retirement in 1964. The documentary record at NARA indicates that James K. III's sister,

The last time I checked, my pants were still on. I still remember the first details I shared on this forum. They were about the curious coincidence of Clark Clifford "persuading" the mother of Ernest L. Byfield, Jr., to lease her Glen Ora estate to JFK and Jackie. Byfield and his father employed and promoted the Gus Alex associated Pat Hoy to the presidency of their Sherman Hotel group.

Irv Kupcinet observed that Henry Crown, largest stockholder of the defense contractor that "won" the largest military contract in world history, had scooped up Hoy, with no relevant experience, from Byfield's hotel group to executive V.P. at General Dynamics and to head the Material Service Div. of General Dynamics. Albert Jenner was appointed senior asst. counsel to the WC. Henry Crown and General Dynamics were two of Jenner's most important clients. Jenner deposed many of the key WC witnesses and was assigned by the WC to head the investigation of the early background of Lee Harvey Oswald and whether or not Oswald or Ruby were part of a conspiracy involving organized crime.

Tom Clark was one of two who Earl Warren told his fellow WC commissioners had signed off on Jenner for appointment to the WC investigative staff. After Drew Pearson died, his stepson published material found in Pearson's files. This was in the files:

I didn't need to search for this, Mike. I know it. If you are not impressed enough by what has come out of your "work," if you cannot refer to and describe it on request, how would you ever persuade anyone else of its significance?

As it happens, there are a lot of leads, and an impressive number of coincidences in my example above. Even so, there seems very little interest in the idea that it may be components of an important pattern. I've presented the names, the supporting references, and a foundation to potentially be built on by other researchers.

I'm doing you a favor, Mike. I'm telling you that judging on what you've presented so far, and in spite of the observation that visual presentations are a CT community favorite, maybe the most popular type of presentation, you should take stock of what is has cost to build to where you are now, and consider where your similar future efforts could possibly lead to.

Wouldn't you have to confirm the presence of, and persuausvely identify (with a name that can be traced) an actual shooter targeting President Kennedy's limousine in the vicinity of where he was known to have been shot? Share the example of when you have come closest to doing that, and consider what would have to happen for you to actually accomplish that, or to help someone else have any chance of coming up with that.

You may go through the process I am suggesting and conclude you have better uses for your time and effort.

Let us recap, you initiated a thread announcing your opinion that Dealey Plaza witness Mudd was probably the DCM. I posted in the thread you started. I contributed a newspaper article displaying the names of Mudd's wife and son, and the Chicago address of her father. I posted details about his wife and his descendants indicating they were caucasian. The address of Mudd's wife's father lead to a

yearbook page search result for Mrs. Mudd displaying that street address. Her name coincided with info posted about Mudd in an old newsgroup post.

You responded by directing readers to a link of a law school yearbook page displaying Mudd's name and photo.

You really scooped the rest of us, Mike! .......What could possibly have influenced you, to so quickly transform from you from posting that Mudd was DCM, to searching school yearbooks, Mike?

Could this have been any influence?

Pat I think this cracks the case..... the old man is exactly the correct age, somebody should telephone him and ask him. I believe Francis Lee was born 12 Nov., 1903, so his birthdate could be a bit off in this article. the article image is $3.95 at the Trib's site, and I'll bet the scanned flaws in the text are not in the article image.

Read the text and look at the image of page 75 in the 1927 yearbook....Gertrude Steuben of 819 North Leamington (3rd entry on left in the page image, third photo on top of the yearbook page). Francis Lee Mudd and his parents are reported in 1937 to have driven from Shreveport to Chicago and "picked up" Lee Sterling Mudd......

A message from the Genealogy Department of the Shreve Memorial Library

in Shreveport, Louisiana:

"The Mudd who ran the Southside Ranch Shop was Francis Lee Mudd Sr.,

who was married to Faye Katherine or Katherine Faye (maiden name

unknown at this time). His probable son was actually named Lee S.

Mudd, married to Joyce (maiden name unknown presently). Lee S. Mudd is

a forester and is still living.… Francis Lee Mudd was married to

Gertrude in the early 1930's before marrying Faye about 1956, so

Gertrude was probably Lee S. Mudd's mother. Francis Lee Mudd was an

insurance salesman until about 1957, then he ran a gas station in

Keithville (Lee's Cities Service). In 1962, he is shown as the owner

of the Southside Ranch Shop. From 1967 until his death, Francis Lee

Mudd was a representative for Louisiana Hospital Services. Katherine

Faye Mudd, his wife, died in 1994. Hope that this is helpful."

So, combining this with the information in the 1930 U.S. Census and

the Social Security Death Index, we now know that the F. Lee Mudd who

was in Dealey Plaza, and who operated the Southside Ranch Shop, was a

60-year-old white man.....

So, the 1937 news article solves the mystery...finally. Case closed, moving on to higher potenital pursuits......FINALLY! :
