Author Robert Burnside has written a new book "JFK and the World Oligarchy: When "Enough is Never Enough" and I think it has some very worthy information in it.

Burnside pins the JFK assassination on Lyndon Johnson, J. Edgar Hoover and Texas oil executives.

Burnside also has a hearsay quote of Lyndon Johnson saying, after one of his heart attacks and while in a San Antonio hospital, "It wasn't my fault. Lady Bird and Hoover came up with the original plan." (p.192)

From what I have learned about Lyndon Johnson that sounds *exactly* like something he would say in a time of stress. LBJ would tell a lie and at the same time try to shift responsibility onto someone else (including Lady Bird) for his actions.

Burnside gets this quote from Robert B. and Elizabeth Slobins and their close friend, a woman who is the former wife of a military police officer stationed at the San Antonio hospital where LBJ was. The MP told his wife what LBJ had said.

Now granted, that is hearsay, but it perfectly describes Lyndon Johnson's behavior and words, especially when he was under stress and in a mental breakdown where some truth might slip out.

I recommend this book and let's applaud Robert Burnside for adding more valuable information to the historical record of the JFK assassination.

p. 144-145 also has some great information, too. Burnside goes over key passages of Madeleine Brown's taped interview with JFK researcher and author Noel Twymann.

Are you sure you typed that quote correctly? The "Lady Bird" part I mean.

Rago, get the book and the answer is yes. LBJ is quoted (by hearsay granted) as blaming the genesis of the JFK assassination on his wife Lady Bird Johnson and J. Edgar Hoover. The Johnsons lived in the same neighborhood for 19 years from 1943 to 1961.

I find that comment by Lyndon Johnson to be completely believable. Not "believable" in that what LBJ said was true, but that Lyndon Johnson in a time of stress would make a seemingly ridiculous comment blaming someone else for something he bore culpability for. Lyndon Johnson opened up on the details of the JFK assassination with Madeleine Brown. I bet he did, too, with Lady Bird who may have known much of the plot. LBJ may also have told Mary Margaret Valenti (nee Wiley) inner circle details of the JFK assassination. Mary Margaret was a far more important mistress of LBJ than Madeleine Brown was.

And she is alive today.

John Curington, who worked for H.L Hunt, has also said that Lady Bird Johnson was quite vicious.
