This article about Dallas newsman Don Harris and Suzie Humphries mentions that Humphries got her start in show business in the comic farce sex play called “Bottoms Up,” a production by Breck Wall that began at Jack Ruby’s Carousel Club, then moved across the street to the Adolphis Hotel before moving on to very long run in Las Vegas and Atlantic City casinos.

Breck Hall, while in Houston Texas on the weekend of the assassination, received a phone call from Jack Ruby, which put him on the map and made him a person of interest in the subsequent investigation. I spoke to Greg Parker about Breck Wall at the beginning of the year. Allegedly, when Wall took over the business of Playbill Cabaret and Co. in 1961, he provided three references:

1. Thomas J. McKenna

2. Forrest Windell

3. Earl Cabell

Greg also dug out information regarding Ruby's association with the Adolphus Hotel (where Wall lived). Ruby was pimping girls out. Services were rendered in a room at the Adolphus that Ruby rented out for the girls. An informant told the FBI that Ruby was partnered in the pimping operation with a Ralph Prestridge.

Prestridge was the nephew of Hollis DeLois Green AKA Lois Green. I'm sure you are aware of him.
