From what I understand, Paul Schrade has been in contact with those who produced the program and they contend that they need the permission of RFK Jr. and Charlie Rose before it is released, thus passing the buck, and the show as recorded should be aired in November, and they could possibly withhold the transcript and program until then.

I was pretty much astonished to hear such bold statements from RFK. Jr. Up until now, the Kennedy family has been distinguished by their absolute unwillingness to address the assassination issue.

I am troubled, however, by the fact no video of his comments has appeared anywhere online. I hope that his comments don't end up in the memory hole, like Jackie's widely reported condemnation of LBJ and pro-conspiracy sentiments on her belatedly released interviews did last year.

I think RFK, Jr. is a man of integrity, and thus I can't really see him permitting this to happen. However, it's pretty obvious by now that in case, one never knows....

I think perhaps we should thank the city of Dallas for attempting to take control of the Nov 22 2013 event, and thank the press for its obvious censorship in misreporting RFK Jr's interview with Rose. They have unwittingly re-opened the wound and given this community a rallying cry.

Just trying to put a positive spin on it. At least it can be seen as an opportunity to use these evidences of a continuing coverup to bring attention to the problems that all investigations have faced. I assume that at least on Nov 22, 2013 the world's media will be covering the events in Dallas. We could try to marshall our forces and show up in large numbers, but of course what would probably happen then is that the media would do what they always do - focus on some nut jobs in the crowd and label us all as freaks. I just talked myself out of that idea.

I wonder if any of the 'left wing' pundits would be willing to get on board. Perhaps Bill Maher would do a show and convene some experts. Not a particularly good topic for humor, but hey, it isn't funny. Now that Al Jazeera owns Current TV maybe someone like Cenk Uygur would give some attention to this. Maybe Rachel Maddow could be approached. I am just grasping at straws. Nothing would compare to RFK Jr. getting on board, but I can understand why the Kennedy family might be 'gun shy'.

Actually there is a chance that Paul could be correct. This censorship really MIGHT be one of our best opportunities.

Stop and think of what we have here.

* RFK's son saying what he said, and thus utterly destroying BEFORE POTENTIALLY EVERYONE (not us) what was one of the LNers major

arguments .." well then why didn't RFK criticize the WC

* The first time Kennedys with said this in a vast public forum.

* The corporate media virtually unanimously keeping The Salamander, the Mob but removing the CIA from the story

* The clear example of Rose pushing Mob in a loaded question that might have come from Leanardo's father at Apian Way (They Do it THEIR way),

and hence the perfect segue to the perfect negative template that is Hollywood's 2013 ConUcopia of everything that did not happen in Dallas.

* The best possible Truman Show caricature of Totalitarian government possible in that the CIA is being lifted out of permissible full spectrum

If we recognize and resolve one very basic source of confusion that the still relatively new medium called the internet fosters and feeds: the confusion between A) what it is possible to know for specialists with what is more widely known to non-specialists and what is presented with entry-ramps of political context to (or not) to make it relevant for new readers (or not)

That is apples and the potential for THIS story to go really, really Full Spectrum is oranges. Two totally different media animals.

So the potential is there. Some cutting and pasting now, could really make THIS story snowball in a way that IMO, many are overlooking.

As far as what actions to take... yes I agree we should letter write to the mayor. But I think that the much stronger slingshot we yield against this corporate goliath is our ABILITY TO SHAME THEM. This example is really that clear. The censorship is so direct, and impossible to dismiss as arbitrary. What they have is there credibility.

If we do not show them an ability to impact their credibility, there is NOTHING to prevent them from doing this every day of the year. This example of censorship is a unique weapon we have been given. Time to open fire. Full Spectrum.

Thanks Michael Hogan. This is one of the worst, but there is so much competition. Note that here, not only is the CIA completely omitted, but the Mob comment is forced into RFK's mouth when it originally came from the Yellow Rose of Dallas.

This is emerging as one of the most blatant, and most systematic acts of censorship in twentieth century history. What is so apparent is that they think they can get away with this with impunity.

'' US authorities censored part of a preliminary hearing Monday at a Guantanamo military tribunal that touched on CIA secret prisons where suspected 9/11 plotters say they were tortured.

Reporters watched the proceedings against the five 9/11 suspects at the US naval base in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba behind a thick, sound-proof glass wall and listened to piped-in audio with a 40-second delay.

But when a defense lawyer mentioned the CIA secret sites at Monday's hearing, a red light flashed on and the sound from the courtroom was cut off.

The audio from the proceedings was replaced by white noise, preventing journalists from listening to the courtroom debate over evidence related to the CIA "black sites," where the suspected September 11 attackers were detained and interrogated before being transferred to the Guantanamo facility.

The feed went off after David Nevin, attorney for the self-proclaimed mastermind of the September 11, 2001 attacks, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, uttered the word "secret."

At the hearing, the defendants' lawyers each asked the court who had the authority to control the "kill switch" on the audio feed.

"Who has the permission to turn that light on?" asked Nevin.

Jim, I didn't mean to infer that RFK, Jr. was responsible for the video of that program being unavailable. I simply compared his reported comments to the reported comments Jackie made in the interviews released last year. We were told she made some bold statements on the assassination and about LBJ. Subsequently, it seems those intial reports were "mistaken" for unclear reasons. I just hope something like that doesn't happen here.

Paul, Bill Maher made his feelings on the JFK assassination clear a number of years ago, on his absurdly misnamed show Politically Incorrect. He thnks Oswald did it, like virtually everyone else in the msm. Btw, on that same show, Michael Moore just sat there quietly, as Gerald Posner made all the LN talking points. Not a single guest represented the pro-conspiracy alternative. In other words, a quite typical television program.

I have now read several accounts of the event that seem to be reporting accurately the exchange between Rose and RFK Jr. Apparently the story is getting traction on youtube.

Paul which ones? The DMN blog post did feature the exchange, but then dove into its effort to portray Douglass' book as Catholic theology. Which sites did mention the CIA? Local or national. I think this example of censorship is so great that it deserves some degree of quantitative analysis. I have only begun looking at the articles that censor the CIA out of the story. At one point I reached five in a row and ran out of time.

It was the DMN blog that came up on google. There was another one too but now I can't find it. I still totally agree with the point of your posting that the censorship is real and visible. I've googled several times and only came up with the 'rogue CIA' mention twice out of dozens, and now the only DMN that comes up is an online version that I can't access. The coverage of Douglass' book was terrible, but I was so impressed that RFK Jr mentioned it. He couldn't have picked a better book. Does anyone here know the author?

I think we need some celebrities on board. I don't think RFK Jr is going to stick his neck out again.

I was struck by somethng Bill Kelly posted yesterday about Leonard Bernstein's comments to a group circa 1980 when he asked for two minutes of silence in honor of JFK from an audience that was there for totally non- political reasons. Few people have such courage. But Hollywood is full of good people who share our feelings.

I watched RFK jr , if that is who you are referring to , recently on LINKTV, which I posted about here previously. He actually has done something important in his life. He is also a big goomer - facing up to some big ass mountain men regarding the issue at hand. ( about mining in Tennesse or some place like that )

He also appeared in my email from some online venue who said he "had doubts" about he WC.

DO something about your Grandfathers / Uncles government murder rather than piss and moan about some irrelevant issue.

I personally think the Kennedy clan are a bunch of moochers who JFK/RFK/MLK would be ashamed of .

Although JFK ( who suffered from a lot of painful ailments) enjoyed his short life - he did not deserve to die in service to his country. ( in a Coup d Etat ) by elements of his own government - chief of which were Allen Dulles and Kennedy's own military.

But I guess if I were a Kennedy I would prefer the status quo because I would not have to bear the shame that my family member was executed in broad daylight next to his wife for something he obviously did ( that crossed the line )
