Blair Dobson
more tasteless crap from Hollyweird.. http://www.thebentbullet.com/#!/home http://www.uproxx.com/gammasquad/2013/11/x-men-days-of-future-past-magneto-jfk-assassination/
Chris Newton
from that 2nd link and posted by Robopanda: This wasn’t our first indication X-Men: Days of Future Past would reference the Kennedy assassination. Back in 2011, Matthew Vaughn said, “I thought it would be fun to open with the Kennedy assassination, and we reveal that the magic bullet was controlled by Magneto. That would explain the physics of it, and we see that he’s pissed off because Kennedy took all the credit for saving the world and mutants weren’t even mentioned." Blair Dobson
I think it's just bloody tasteless... I felt the same about the last two Tarantino films...Christoph Waltz being the only reason to watch either. now I know how LN's felt watching JFK but unlike them, I wasn't wearing womens undergarments and worrying about "knots"... Chris Newton
I don't know Blair. Superman and Capt. America were fighting the Nazi's. Sgt. Rock killed a whole bunch of squinty eyed little yellow people. I'm certain there are more examples. It just follows in a long tradition of Marvel and other comics making light of a serious subject. At least they are acknowledging that without the direction of someone with super powers that CE399 is hard to explain.
Blair Dobson
gotcha Chris...I know this isn't the first time and yeah, even Mickey and Donald were racist propagandists...I just think timing your superhero "viral campaign" on the 50th of an american prez getting his head blown off is a bit much... The Magneto Holocaust thing was just as stomach turning... Keep in mind I am not one of these broken hearted "Kennedy was my Jesus" kinda people either. He said/did a few great things and he and RFK did some pretty awful stuff as well. They were just as corrupt in some small respects as any other politicians to be sure..Not as bad as all that followed of course... Ramble over...
