Douglas Caddy interviewed on The Power Hour about JFK assassination

Recommended Posts

I was interviewed on The Power Hour radio show on August 5, 2014, about the key to understanding Watergate is the JFK assassination.

I advise skipping the first 8 minutes that are part of an interview of a prior guest.

Fascinating interview. You must have been frustrated by the limited time given to you to explain your story.

You make an interesting point about the importance of secret files on politicians as a means of controlling their behaviour. The same thing happens in the UK as the recent disclosures about child sexual abuse amongst leading politicians.

The Power Hour radio show has invited me for another guest interview on March 20. I hope at that time to provide additional information about Watergate and its relationship to the JFK assassination. I also plan to discuss events that happened after I moved from Washington, D.C. back to Texas in 1979, including the Billie Sol Estes - LBJ saga.

Interesting stuff, as always. At one point, you say Nixon called Hughes to ask him to have Maheu kill Castro. I am a bit confused by this. Is this speculation? Or did Maheu admit this somewhere along the line? My understanding is that the security for Nixon's campaign was run by Bob King, Maheu's partner. The record indicates that Maheu was asked to provide cover for the CIA with the mafia, by pretending it was Hughes who wanted Castro dead. But I have long suspected the opposite...that the mafia and/or Hughes wanted Castro dead, and convinced Maheu to get the CIA's approval and support, and convince them it was their idea. The Nixon/King tie, then, is more intriguing. Did Nixon ask King/Maheu to convince the mob to kill Castro, on the CIA's behalf, and then sell the idea to both parties?

Who came first, the chicken or the egg?
