Glenn Nall Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 I'm reading Mr Bartholomew's most fascinating article (ya'll please forgive my excitement - haven't seen good stuff like this in years) on this circle of ... people, and UT and this car, etc, and am getting a clearer picture of DH Byrd, et al. I'm curious about a couple of things - did BS Estes ever get the immunity he requested after he offered what appears to be pretty hefty information? Whatever happened to Bobby Baker after he left his position in the Senate?
Brian Schmidt Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 The Department of Justice refused Estes' request. Douglas Caddy was his lawyer during this period and may be willing to provide more first-hand information
Glenn Nall Posted June 17, 2015 Author Posted June 17, 2015 has this been done by anyone? publicly...? "The study and analysis of the missing pages has proven to be a lengthy and time-consuming project. The findings concerning them are beyond the scope this paper. A thorough analysis of the missing pages would require another paper of considerable length. For researchers who would like to attempt their own analysis and critique, however, a complete list of the books, their missing pages and their discovery dates, as well as the back seat magazines, can be found in this paper's appendix. This paper will deal with some significant aspects of the missing pages that led to a greater understanding of the interrelationships previously discussed and yet to be discussed." http://www.acorn.net/jfkplace/09/fp.back_issues/17th_Issue/rambler3.html
Larry Hancock Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 (edited) Glenn, I think Bartholomew actually did that and put out a booklet on the whole subject ....something much larger than a paper. It was spiral bound and it contained a study of the names and connections. I wish I could help with some details but that's what I recall. Don't know if I have it buried in my garage storage but I did have it at one time. OK, so a quick search found it listed on biblio...check this out and you may be able to locate a copy: http://www.biblio.com/book/possible-discovery-automobile-used-jfk-conspiracy/d/489312796 Here it is on Amazon...only a couple of hundred bucks: http://www.amazon.com/Possible-Discovery-Automobile-Conspiracy-Rambler/dp/B001E2NT8S/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1434571905&sr=1-1&keywords=Possible+Discovery+of+an+Automobile+Used+In+the+JFK+Conspiracy+%28the+Nash+Rambler%29+by+Richard+Bartholomew Edited June 17, 2015 by Larry Hancock
Tom Hume Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 (edited) This is a fascinating story. Richard Bartholomew is apparently a member of the forum. Perhaps if one of his friends on the forum feels so inclined, they could send him a PM and see if he would give us an update on his research. Richard Bartholomew is also the name that Larry Florer gave as the person that could backup his alibi during the assassination. Probably a different guy. Florer's 11-22-63 statement: Post #4 by Bill Kelly http://educationforum.ipbhost.com/index.php?showtopic=15988&hl=%2Blarry+%2Bflorer Tom Edited June 18, 2015 by Tom Hume
Glenn Nall Posted June 18, 2015 Author Posted June 18, 2015 i've been enjoying the story so much, all the while wondering who this Bartholomew fellow is because he writes well enough and his research is so meticulous, and now you're saying he may have been in dallas on that day? I've been reading it slowly, making some notes and fitting into my day - i found it just doing some minor look into DH Byrd - i'm just now getting to the end of the torn-up books, and the Rambler. It's almost like getting to the end of a Nelson DeMille novel...

That's not exactly what I said, Glenn. I said: "Richard Bartholomew is also the name that Larry Florer gave as the person that could back up his alibi during the assassination. Probably a different guy." I agree that he writes well and his research appears to be meticulous. Tom
Glenn Nall Posted June 18, 2015 Author Posted June 18, 2015 i misunderstood - my fault. I didn't even see that last phrase... oops.
Tom Hume Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 (edited) The Richard Bartholomew that is a member of this forum appears to be the Rambler Station Wagon author. Here is his website: http://www.bartholoviews.blogspot.com/ Richard started a topic on this forum in 2006. He wrote this: "I am an editorial cartoonist, born and raised in Dallas, and have lived in the Austin metro area since 1976. I was at school in the suburb of Mesquite, 12 miles from Dealey Plaza, at the time of the JFK assassination. Soon after graduating from the University of Texas at Austin, I met and married a niece of Erwin Schwartz, Abraham Zapruder's business partner. My father worked with Kenneth Porter at Collins Radio in the suburb of Richardson. Obviously, the assassination has been an unavoidable part of my life. I began researching it in earnest, however, only after stumbling upon new evidence while employed at the University of Texas. As a native Dallasite, and Texas citizen, I felt it was my civic duty to report a suspicious automobile fitting the description of a getaway car seen by several witnesses leaving Dealey Plaza." Glenn Nall Posted June 18, 2015 Author Posted June 18, 2015 oh wow, thanks so much for sharing this - this explains some questions I had, how he came to find the Rambler at UT in the first place - makes sense. So his dad worked with Marina's future husband. Fascinating. his stuff is hosted on Acorn.net - don't even know who they are - i'm sure he has more literature available.
