Micah Mileto
The depressed cowlick fracture on the X-rays is not the small head wound described by the autopsy report, autopsy doctors, and at least five autopsy witnesses ( Stringer, Lipsey, Kellerman, Boyers, and O'Neil). Dr. Finck arrived at the autopsy after the skull cavity was enlarged for removal of the brain. The uncropped version of the back wound photograph shows how large the skull cavity was. From David Mantik's article Twenty Conclusions After Nine Visits: From researcher Martin Shackelford: Using the bruises on the neck and white spot within the hairline as vantage points, it is easy to see that the skull cavity was enlarged down to the occipital bone and well within the left of the midline. This is basically the same skull cavity as illustrated by Dr. Humes to the ARRB: How could the skull cavity be any smaller with the doctors still being able to sever the brainstem and stick their hands in the skull cavity to remove the brain? Dr. Pierre Finck arrived at the autopsy after the brain had already been removed, and his statements always indicated that he was able to see the small head wound still intact in the skull bone. He never made any clear statement that he could see the small head wound only when pieced together from previously-removed skull fragments. Therefore, the small head wound couldn't have been any higher than the level of the ears. The cowlick entry theory is a hoax which has obfuscated the understanding of Kennedy's wounding (at least concerning the official evidence) for decades. Micah Mileto
Here is the depressed cowlick fracture "entry" according to the Clark Panel and HSCA: But is it possible that Dr. Finck walked in to the autopsy room on November 22, 1963 at 8:30 PM to observe an entry wound which didn't even exist once the doctors had already enlarged the skull cavity to remove the brain? Micah Mileto
It has come to my attention that the area on the back wound photograph that I thought showed a skull cavity (to the left of the bone flap) is probably really a cloth covering Kennedy's head. This is more apparent in the brighter version of the back wound photograph provided by Franklin Griffin. Why would that cloth be there in the first place? Anyway, since we have no photographs of the empty skull cavity besides the controversial open-cranium photographs, the point stands that it would probably be impossible to fit Kennedy's entire brain (from the official evidence) through a skull cavity without first separating the area of skull bone with the depressed cowlick fracture. In regular autopsies, the entire top of the skull is removed! Can't fit a brain through the head while still having the entry wound for Dr. Finck to arrive and see still sitting there in the intact skull.
