11/25/1963 memo from J. Edgar Hoover to Tolson, Belmont, Mohr, Conrad, De Loach, Evans, Rosen, Sullivan:

"I told Mr. Jenkins that Oswald had four shells and only fired three shells; that we have one complete bullet found on the stretcher on which the President was carried into the hospital, which apparently fell out of the President's head; that the other two bullets were pretty well broken up but sufficiently complete to allow us to identify them as being the three fired by this particular gun"

This jives with the statements of Dennis David, who briefly had an account here on this forum. He said that he remembered personally typing a reciept for a little jar of bullet fragments that he estimated to be "more than the mass of one bullet, but less than the mass of two bullets". Tom Robinson also remembered seeing a jar of "more than 30" tiny bullet fragments.

Yo Micah, they missed one of the bullets found during the autopsy.

At 9:18 local time (or even 8:18 Dallas Time) the Secret Service was not only aware of this other bullet but mentioned it to the FBI...

When others ask "where did the bullets go"...  1 good possibility is they were simply taken....  not everything needs an ice bullet for this to work...

FWIW O'Connor claims a bullet was also removed from the intercostal muscles...  What we are to believe of HUMES and his little finger is yet another mystery...

Hoover simply lied... the entire FBI seems to have vetoed him... and he still tried to add in the Mexico Angle as late as Dec 12th...
Part of the "Double dealing" he refers to was Phillip's set-up of ALVARADO and the BS story he repeatedly told....

1/12/1977 HSCA interview with Tom Robinson:

Purdy: In the front of the body, the whole front was open, did you notice any pieces of bone or any pieces of metal in any part of the body below the head?

Robinson: No.  If we had found something like that, we would have given it to them.

Purdy: In your impression, where is the lowest point on the body that any metal fragments were found?

Robinson: Somehow I feel like there was something found in the thorax.

Purdy: Is that what they call the chest?

Robinson: Yes.

Purdy: You remember it to be metalic [sic] or a piece of bone?

Robinson: I think they found a piece of metal, a piece of bullet.

Purdy: Do you remember there being anything unusual or any larger pieces of metal turned over to anyone or turned over to the President's doctor or to the FBI agents?

Robinson: No, he had his function there, but it was the pathologist who did the work.

It also confirms the document confirming that during the autopsy a bullet was recovered from the limo.  Oh how the wc has been falling apart lately.  How really blinded someone like fc must be to ignore evidence.  I suppose in some places perhaps critical thinking involves ignoring evidence such as in Oswald did it fantasyland.
