Meanwhile, someone over at the Democratic Underground just posted that, "Trump Won't Win the Nobel Prize in 2020, But He Could Still Win a Darwin Award." 🤪

James DiEugenio
A very good site on how Trump fouled this up from the start. Doug DeSalles is a friend of mine and a doctor. https://www.trumppandemic.net/?fbclid=IwAR2NV8lKO2Eawd3vJUsPkSwOeZCCcEUv7erL7vrS6CrHr1Sca0tf1xjJT20

Ron Bulman
From things I've read today many still don't get it. The president is in the hospital seriously ill with the plague that's killed 200,000 in the USA. His advisors, assistants, wife, campaign manager, Senators, over a dozen in close contact have tested positive. The bellicose bs'er may well hopefully recover, and lead the faithful through this. But odd's are out of a dozen a couple or three could have a tough time, lasting effects. Not impossible someone could perish, some are older, likely a little infirm. I just can't see the last 30 day's before the election playing out as anyone might have predicted. A recovered prez rallying the troops the last two weeks, that sympathy bit? Driving through town after a later (6:30) trip to the grocery store with not a lot of people there, I noticed the dine in restaurant's parking lots were packed. Social distancing impossible. Can't eat or drink with a mask on. Libations encourage conversation, sometimes louder, spewing more particles. Many things should be restricted to get the 40,000 new cases a day down, significantly, imho. But the widely varying restaurant policies are a pet peeve. Numbers aren't going down, they're going up. https://www.msn.com/en-us/health/medical/trumps-infection-is-part-of-an-ominous-national-trend-as-cases-rise-in-most-states/ar-BB19EKvN?li=BBnb7Kz Edited October 4, 2020 by Ron Bulman

Kirk Gallaway
W.said: Someone I know suggested earlier today that it's karma, but I think it has more to do with stupidity, and a narcissistic delusion of invincibility. It's all true, everything that happens to you is your karma. Trump's stupidity and his narcissistic delusion of invincibility is his karma, and the inevitable result is his karma. Ron said:"If his getting sick saves at least one more person from dying, it is worth it." Philosopher, John Stuart Mill, proponent of utilitarianism said: bring about 'the greatest amount of good for the greatest number'. I have no doubt if Trump died of natural causes at the beginning of this year. Mike Pence as President's style would have been much more orthodox, and the number of deaths would probably be half. Pence has spent his whole term cowering to a bully, but probably does have the fear of God in him, and is more apt to listen to people who were smarter than him. Trump is the worst President we could have had at this time of crisis. And the general unity of the nation that Trump exploited was also at it's worse time for such a national crisis. As far as saving the greatest number of people from covid death in the next 4 months. At this point, Trump's prompt death would save the greatest number of people, because the Republicans will back off in their resistance and there will be a prompt flood of money toward fighting the pandemic. A quick recovery, knowing Trump and his delusion of invincibility, would save the fewest number. Trump getting worse, then recovering might shock him into being more compassionate, but if then he loses the election and possibly faces jail time, knowing Trump, what would be Trump's motivation to help anyone else?
