As I was saying a few days ago, (when Wheeler blithely accused me of "calling everyone a Nazi.")

Psychiatrist Robert Jay Lifton: Trump's attempts to falsify reality follows "pattern of the Nazis"

A prominent psychiatrist who spent years studying Nazi Germany has called for mental health professionals to speak out about President Trump's "falsification of reality" ahead of the election, warning that his attacks on the truth echo those of the Nazis.

Dr. Robert Jay Lifton, distinguished professor emeritus at John Jay College and the Graduate Center of the City University of New York and a leading psychohistorian who has written extensively about doctors who aided Nazi war crimes, has long called for mental health experts to defy warnings from the American Psychiatric Association (APA) and speak out about Trump's mental health. Lifton recently published a book entitled "Losing Reality: On Cults, Cultism, and the Mindset of Political and Religious Zealotry" and was one of the 27 mental health experts featured in "The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump," the bestseller edited by Yale psychiatrist Dr. Bandy X. Lee in which mental health professionals assessed the president.

Lifton said that Trump's supporters and enablers exhibit the same "cult-like behavior" that he has studied, adding that the current administration has "Trumpified" every part of the federal government, in much the same way that the German government was "Nazified" under Adolf Hitler.

Well, I can tell you where I got that idea. It came from my work with Nazi doctors. I studied Nazi doctors and I spoke to a number of them. And in that situation, if a Nazi doctor at Auschwitz, at the ramp, was sending Jews to the gas chamber, that was considered his job. That was what he was supposed to do. He may have had problems with it, but that was what was expected of him. That was a form of the malignant normality of that regime. Now, Trump isn't a Nazi, but still there's an American malignant normality that Trump and his followers impose on us, and that malignant normality has to do with lying. It's particularly extreme in relation to the virus, but it has to do with a more general pattern of lying, a kind of paranoid grandiosity.

It has also to do with attacking and seeking to destroy anyone who questions his version of reality. All that is part of the malignant normality imposed on this country by Trump fans, which I think it's our responsibility to expose and combat with the full knowledge and experience of our professions brought into play. So that is how witnessing professionals, again, confront and combat malignant normality.

Deutsche Bank, JPMorgan lead drop in financial shares amid report the banks moved suspicious funds

Published Mon, Sep 21 2020 by Yun Li

https://www.cnbc.com/2020/09/21/deutsche-bank-jpmorgan-lead-drop-in-financial-shares-amid-report-the-banks-moved-suspicious-funds.html

  • “Financial stocks sold off on Monday, led by Deutsche Bank and JPMorgan, after a report that several global banks moved allegedly illicit funds over the past two decades.

  • A new investigation by BuzzFeed and the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists found banks’ internal compliance officers flagged a total of more than $2 trillion in transactions between 1999 and 2017 as possible money laundering or other criminal activity.

  • The report cited confidential documents submitted by banks to the U.S. government.

  • These leaked suspicious activity reports do not necessarily indicate wrongdoing, and they were just a tiny fraction of the reports filed with U.S. Department of Treasury’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network, the news report said.

Deutsche Bank appears to have facilitated $1.3 trillion of suspicious money in the files, while JPMorgan disclosed $514 billion, the report found. Other banks mentioned in the investigation include HSBC Holdings, Standard Chartered and Bank of New York Mellon. HSBC fell more than 6%, touching a 25-year low.”

Rob,

I never knew that you were an NYC developer, multi-millionaire, and even a philanderer.  No wonder you like Trump.

As for Trump being shielded from Russia-gate and long overdue impeachment by the GOP cabal, here's a new story for you and Jeff Carter to yodel about... 🤥

Quote: That would be "Weissmann repeatedly jabs at Zebley, comparing him unkindly to “timorous” Civil War Gen. George B. McClellan, whom President Lincoln famously relieved of his command in part over concerns he was not sufficiently aggressive. Weissmann alleges that Zebley so feared the office would be disbanded by Trump, he repeatedly encouraged less aggressive maneuvers. "

Yes they were so timid and their biggest fear is that Trump would disband them, and set off another Saturday Night Massacre? I say let it happen!

You excluded Di Eugenio, William. Always so worried about "Deep State" prosecutorial overreach, or any result that could reflect badly on Putin, and accepting Barr's interpretation like it was the "voice of God". And become just another chorus in  the ninny Wheeler crowd of inane Trump enablers.

Do you think Bobby Kennedy would have folded, and let a botched investigation that didn't even include looking into Trump's finances happen? Would RFK just have understandably nodded and made a gentlemanly agreement not push a direct interrogation of Trump, like Mueller did when Trump's counsel, John Dowd told him that the President can't testify in person because he would certainly " incriminate" himself?

A Conservative Agenda Unleashed on the Federal Courts

President Trump’s imprint on the nation’s appeals courts has been swift and historic. He has named judges with records on a range of issues important to Republicans — and to his re-election.

Colossal backdoor bailout’: Outrage as Pentagon funnels hundreds of millions meant for COVID supplies to private defense contractors

https://www.rawstory.com/2020/09/colossal-backdoor-bailout-outrage-as-pentagon-funnels-hundreds-of-millions-meant-for-supplies-to-private-defense-contractors/

“Instead of adhering to congressional intent by building up the nation’s inadequate supply of N95 masks and other equipment to combat the Covid-19 crisis, the Pentagon has funneled hundreds of millions of dollars in appropriated taxpayer funds to private defense contractors for drone technology, jet engine parts, Army uniform material, body armor, and other purposes not directly related to the pandemic.

As the Washington Post reported Tuesday morning, the Department of Defense—headed by former Raytheon lobbyist Mark Esper—”began reshaping how it would award the money” just weeks after Congress in March approved a $1 billion fund under the Defense Production Act to help the nation “prevent, prepare for, and respond to coronavirus.”

“The Trump administration has done little to limit the defense firms from accessing multiple bailout funds at once and is not requiring the companies to refrain from layoffs as a condition of receiving the awards,” the Post noted. “Some defense contractors were given the Pentagon money even though they had already dipped into another pot of bailout funds, the Paycheck Protection Program.”

As the U.S. still faces major shortages of testing supplies and N95 masks six months into the pandemic, the Post reported that the Pentagon has used congressionally approved funds to dish out $183 million to luxury carmaker Rolls-Royce and other companies to help “maintain the shipbuilding industry,” tens of millions for “drone and space surveillance technology,” and $80 million to “a Kansas aircraft parts business.”

A subsidiary of Rolls-Royce also received $22 million from the Pentagon “to upgrade a Mississippi plant,” according to the Post.”

In just one week, conspiracy nut Trump has:

Retweeted another tweet inferring Biden as a child molester for kissing his grand daughter on the top of her head.

Suggested that Ruth Bader Ginsburg's grand daughter's claim of her grand mother's wish that her replacement not be chosen except by the next duly elected president was not real and something Chuck Schumer or Nancy Pelosi or "shifty" Schiff made up.

Suggested liberal terrorists will invade and take over our suburbs.

Claiming even elements of Fox News are now conspiring against him.

Joe Biden's election would destroy our policing structure and again turn everything over to liberal terrorists.

And on and on... with all this crazy super hyped fear mongering rhetoric in just one week!

Sorry, but just this latest one week's worth of super exaggerated fear and paranoia mongering ALONE would be enough for legitimate calls for a President's removal due to mental instability and irresponsibly upsetting of our citizens in normal times.

Trump claims he personally downplayed the Civid-19 threat to "calm" our society. That this was his sacred duty as President.

Yet every week he does and says things through our national media that do the opposite!

The liberal terrorist hordes are coming! The election will be rigged! Every criticism of him is a conspiracy. Even elements of Fox news are being compromised! Biden is a child molester! Biden and his son and the Clintons should be investigated for high crimes! Dozens of women going public and charging Trump with sexual battery against them...are all XXXXX...every last one of them!

The man is truly, seriously paranoid delusional and super aggressive in pushing his own fear mongering paranoia upon the entire nation almost every day.

Yet, this reality has never been reported as such by the great majority of our main stream media. This possum like hiding and non-reporting of this reality is the main reason Trump gets away with his paranoid fear mongering for the last 3 and 3/4ths years imo.

Pretending or portraying Trump as not that much different or paranoia fear mongering and angry divisive dangerous than any other President is as blameful as he is for the unprecedented agitated, angry, anxious and divided state we are in imo.

Hope enough former Trump voters somehow come out of their Trump idolizing trances this election to stop this chaotic anger, fear and paranoia suspicion inciting madness.

Joe,

Trump says the Covid 19 virus only effects old people.

I say we just cut right to the chase and kill off anybody over the age of 40.

We could kill three birds with one stone.

  • We could eliminate all those old blood suckers who are draining the public coffers with their snowflake demands for Medicare and Social Security,
  • By reducing the demand for social services we could give more tax breaks to the wealthy; and,
  • Since the virus only affects the elderly, we could eliminate the pandemic.

It's simple.

TWO TRILLION!

NOW THERE'S A CRIMINAL ENTERPRIZE OF DECADES LONG WORLD WIDE IMPORTANCE THAT NEEDS HUGE DEEP INVESTIGATION.

As well as Trump's dealings with the worst offending bank...Dousche.

And did we give any bail out monies to J.P. Morgan after the G.W. Bush financial collapse of 2007?
