The Repubs are working this border/xenophobia thing in a big way. Like the Oath Keepers and the Three Percenters, 1st Amendment Praetorian is wedded to the idea that small numbers of highly trained individuals can move mountains. It's creepy-- about 25%. The prevalence is much higher in military and police circles. This reminds me of circumstances in the Weimar Republic after 1929. If I recall correctly, Hitler "won" the 1932 election with only one-third of the popular vote, before Von Hindenburg made him Chancellor. I recently had a short conversation with a friend's son who has been working as a civilian contractor at various middle eastern military bases. He said that while stationed with the military, their only news outlet (or at least their primary one) is One America News. He discounts any other source now and says that is the view of most. That was a mindless, wild mob which reminded one of the last scene of West's Day of the Locust. They literally trampled one of their own. They were hunting for Pence and Pelosi. One cop saved the day or they would have been inside the senate before it was evacuated. And the National Guard was late by three hours. Michael Wolff, Greenwald and Johnstone should all be ashamed of themselves for what they have written. Oklahoma City comes to mind. As I recall, the FBI arrested a guy in the Coast Guard a year or two ago who was planning to carry out some sort of false flag type bomb attacks that would be blamed on leftists.
