Ron Bulman Posted June 14, 2020 Share Posted June 14, 2020 Interesting. I never knew about PT 59, the evacuating Marines or JFK having one die in his bunk. Nor did I realize how well armed the PT's were. Two twin 50 cal. machineguns, two 40 mm guns, four single 50 and 30 cal. machineguns. A lot of firepower for the size of the craft. Also near 50 mph on water at the time would have been pretty fast would it not? Shame it was abandoned and sank. It should have been preserved for the sake of history.
