It is interesting. There were earnest witnesses in front of the TSBD, shoulder to shoulder, some of whom said they heard the shots come from the Grassy Knoll area, and others from the TSBD above them. 

I guess the obvious conclusion is the sound of gunfire came from both places. This does not exclude use of another weapon that used a silencer. There is such a thing as a pneumatic gun, but no weapon ever shows up in even CIA arsenals.
