Uploading Images

Recommended Posts

Several members have emailed me about problems uploading images. It seems that this dates back to when the forum went down on Friday. Some of our settings have been altered. Andy Walker is working on the problem and will sort it out.

Those in the JFK subgroup should find they can upload images now. Please let me know if there are further problems.

There have been no images (avatars, smilies, etc.) shown here since the site returned after being down. Just red x's. I assumed this was temporary. Is it my computer?

Andy...I have been unable to upload images for two days now.

I just tried a test with a very small image (5.6" x 4.2") and

got a message that it was too large.

Jack - It's those Apollo pictures you have been posting - they have broken the forum. :o

Bill's photo is fake. Bill is also fake. He is not a human but a creature from the Moon. His mission is to delete Jack's Appollo images. :o

Uploads working again - enjoy! :tomatoes

Andy...I was able to upload several images before

image uploads stopped working again. I got an

error message saying that

"Upload failed. You are not permitted to upload a file with that file extension."

It was a JPG image like all the others I send, and not a large file.

Jack

The problem I expect Jack is that you have uploading so many images that you have filled up your allocated space. I can up this allocation yet again but would must rather you started to manage your uploads a little better - perhaps deleting ones that are no longer essential online or are part of now inactive discussions

Members

I have perused the web and our ED.FORUM/JFK site has the best visual aids

to help judge the Lunar Photographs authenticity debate,

thanks to our member, Jack White.

The only better source is the exhaustive NASA site itself:

http://www.apolloarchive.com/apollo_gallery.html

Please go through these 16mm and Hasselblad stills with a critical mind.

REVIEW THE ORIGINAL APOLLO STILLS, these are worth looking at!

Never mind. I had a typo in the type of file. I typed

a comma instead of a period (,jpg instead of .jpg)

If I reach a limit of space for posting images, I will

just stop posting. My research deals with photos, not

words. No images I post become obsolete.

Thanks.

Jack

I found it very hard to believe it was possible or likely that even you had achieved the massive new allocation I had set for you only yesterday. :tomatoes

Am I to take it from your last announcement that you have no interest in managing your uploads as I have requested?

I am afraid I will be unable to give you any further space once this has gone.

I'm still seeing no images at all on this forum. Just red x's. (I see attachments when I click to them, but the clickable thumbnails are blank.)

I had no idea that each member has an allotment of image space. This seems

odd since most members post NO images, and a few of us deal ONLY in image

research. I do not have time to "manage" postings I have made in the past

and have no interest in taking the time to do so. I joined this forum at the

special INVITATION of John Simkin, who felt that my photographic research would

be a useful addition to his forum. I feel that I am doing John a "favor" by

sharing my research for your members. If you wish me to cease, just say so,

and I will quit sharing my research.

Jack :(
