MODERATOR ANNOUNCEMENT - New Forum Feature

The moderators have created a new forum feature that those who like to talk politics should appreciate.

Going to the Political Discussions forum has always been easy... just click the QUICK LINKS topic pinned to the top of the main page, and click Political Discussions.

The problem with that feature is that, the only way to know if there is an active thread to read is to go there and check. We believe this to be a deterrent to using those forums.

What we have done is created a way for member to notify others when a thread in another EF forum is active. Here is how to use it:

Suppose you just created a new thread in Political Discussions, or you bumped an inactive thread by posting to it. To notify others, simply go to the QUICK LINKS thread on the main page and make a new post telling others that you just posted something new in the Political Discussions forum.

Other members will read your notification, and after doing so will go to the first post in QUICK LINKS in order to click the Quick Link for the Political Discussions forum.
