Posner claims there were no Oswald impersonations.

Here are four that he simply ignores.

1,On Oct 11,1963, While Oswald is in Dallas, someone in New Orleans

filed a change of address card in Oswalds name to foward his mail

to an address in Dallas. The card is signed in Oswalds name but

the signature is not in his handwriting.

2,Two weeks before the assassination, a phoney Oswald asked about

a job as a parking attendant at the Southland Hotel in downtown

Dallas. When the manager wrote the applicants name down as

"Lee Harvey Osborn, the man corrected it to "Oswald". Oswald did

not usually spell out his full name, but called himself simply "Lee

Oswald". The imposter then asked a strange question, he wanted to

Know how high the hotel was and whether it provided a good view

of Dallas.

3,On Nov 1,1963, a Cuban man entered a gift shop in Dade County,

Florida, and told an employee there that he had a friend called Lee,

who could speak Russian and German. The man added that his friend lived

in Texas and "Was also a sharpshooter.

4, On July 26, 1963, when the real Oswald was in New Orleans, someone

Visited the Atomic Energy Museum in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, and

signed the register" Lee H Oswald,USSR, Dallas Rd Dallas, Texas"

The imposter's intention, appears to make it seem as though Oswald

thought of himself as a Soviet citizen.

How easy it is to prove something if you simply ignore evidence. anyone

got any other example's of Posner ignoring evidence he finds unpalatable?

Posner also ignores the account of Leonard Hutchinson. after the

assassination,Hutchinson who owned a grocery store in Irving, Texas,

said he had been asked to cash a two party check in the amount of

$189 for a "Harvey Oswald"on Nov 8th.A nearby Barber said he saw a

man resembling Oswald enter Hutchinson's stoer that day.

But the real Oswald was elsewhere that day. Hutchinson said he saw

the man in his store several other times, & that on one occasion he was

accompanied by a young woman, who conversed with the phoney

Oswald in a foreign language. Hutchinson recognized the couple from

photographs of Lee, & Marina that were broadcast over TV after the

assassination. It is very doubtful that the real Lee, & Marina were ever

in Hutchinson's store. Incidentally, this is not ths only reported case of

someone impersonating Marina either.

Stephen,

Not pertinent to your subject matter, but have you ever read the online accounts of the Oak Ridge connection to the JFK assassination by Jim Phelps?

Interesting, though it's necessary to separate the wheat from the chaff.
