Was Boris Pash at Parkland Hospital?

Given the recent discussions regarding Boris Pash, I figured it was time to post the following. I have held off as I have been trying to positively identify the man in question but so far no luck. If anyone knows who it is, I would appreciate the information.

Again, this comparison is more of a curiosity as the image is not of a quality to determine anything positive.

As an aside, does anyone know what time LBJ departed Parkland?

Let's not get too pashionate about concluding Boris was a conspirator. Although I have to admit I have some concerns about Natasha!

And I must say that it appears that Pash did yeoman's work for the good guys in WWII. I once read how vonBraun sent one of his sons to find Allied troops to whom he could surrender since he did not want to end up with the Soviets. The man the younger vonBraun first encountered, if I recall the story correctly, was a private from Wisconsin who really didn't believe the man's story that there were a bunch of rocket scientists and their wives waiting to surrender. But he did his duty and brought the man to his superior.

By the way, JFK spent (part of) the last Saturday of his life with vonBraun.

In that photo at Parkland it looks like Pash is holding a gun on LBJ in his pocket. It could be that LBJ still wasn't out of the woods yet.

Maybe that's NOT a gun in Pash's pocket; maybe he's just happy to see Lyndon! :):lol::lol:

In all seriousness, perhaps Lyndon wasn't 100% on board with what was going down; perhaps he was made aware that JFK was going to be gunned down, but he didn't know where; perhaps at this point, Lyndon was still trying to understand his "good fortune" at being elevated to the highest [civillian] office in the land, but wasn't yet convinced of what actions he needed to take [or AVOID taking] in order to remain alive. And AFAIK, no one has really delved into just what discussions took place in Johnson's sequestered little space at Parkland. Maybe someone sat him down and spelled out just what was going on, and that all he had to do was follow orders and he'd escape Dallas alive.

But it appears to be Pash, and he appears to have SOMEthing in his pocket.

It's a shame the picture is in black and white, if it was in color, I might be able to help a little based on the color of the man's lapel pin.

The plainclothes Dallas Police were assigned beige pins.

My first thoughts were that this guy might be a cop. If he was a member of the DPD, then given the man's age, one may conclude he held a senior position which would make him easier to identify.

BTW, in the uncropped version of the image, Rufus Youngblood leads both men.

The following comparison suggests a very similar profile even though there is some years difference in the images used.

I wonder if Pash Man is actually walking with LBJ, or if he is a person whom LBJ is walking past.

On page 408 of POTP, there is a photo taken at approximately the same time, showing Youngblood leading LBJ, and Pash Man is nowhere to be seen.

There is another man following LBJ whom I don't recognize.

Thanks for the photo.

On the man in the jeep who is compared to Pash, according to this webpage the man in the jeep is Marinus Toepel:

The only thing I’ve been able to find on Marinus Toepel (how many people would be named that?) is that he taught political science at the University of Wisconsin, and was chief of Wisconsin’s Legislative Research Library (now the Legislative Research Bureau) when he died in July 1963.

There is a photo of Toepel on page 14 of the below document about the library. I would post the photo but it’s a pdf doc and I can’t copy the photo.

The photo is not real clear but he does look like the man in the jeep. And the man in the jeep looks like the man at Parkland. This reminds me of the tramps with their multiple resemblances. It's almost like the gods themselves are mischievously at work to confound us in sorting out who's who in the JFK case.
