Another China Lobby Connection that is easy to forget among the plethora detailed in this book: Anna Chenault. The author states that Chenault, a close friend of Corcoran after the death of her husband Claire Chenault, was working for the Nixon Campaign in 1968. When speculation began circulating about what caused the South Vietnamese to break off talks planned with the north that were seen as an electoral aid to the Humphry campaign.

The author makes it pretty clear that the Nixon Campaign's quiet dismissal of Chenault in October 1968 was related to her involvement in the Nixon Administrations' playing Let's Make a Deal with our junta in South Vietnam, with door number two opening on January 20th of the new administration.

Has anyone got anything on Thomas Concoran? He was a member of the Suite 8F Group. He was also closely connected to Sam Rayburn and Lyndon B. Johnson. Despite his shady business dealings he was never convicted of a criminal offence.

It is claimed that Concoran played an important role in persuading John F. Kennedy to make Johnson his running-mate. Interestingly, his brother, Howard Corcoran, was the judge in the trial of Ray Crump, who was charged with the murder of Mary Pinchot Meyer. Howard Corcoran insisted that Mary’s private life should not be mentioned in court. This was very important in disguising the possible motive for the murder. Corcoran also kept the fact that Mary was the former wife of Cord Meyer, a senior figure in the CIA. As Crump’s lawyer, Dovey Roundtree, pointed out, as a result of Concoran's actions, the court found out little information about her: "It was as if she existed only on the towpath on the day she was murdered."

1. Thomas (Tommy) Corcoron was a close associate of Joe Kennedy, and was in fact his attorney at one period of time.

2. Joe Kennedy wanted the Secretary of Treasury position, which Roosevely would not allow, thus Corcoran played no small role in getting Joe Kennedy into the SEC position which he held.

3. Corcoran was also highly responsible for persuading Hoover to send Joe Kennedy to England as Ambassador. This was largely to get Joe "out of town" and away from the snooping eyes which were about to blow the lid on Joe Kennedy and James Roosevelt's liquor business association.

4. Corcoran, President Roosevelt, and others frequently had dinner at the home of Joe Kennedy.

5. Corcoran's association with William D. Pawley is well documented here.

6. At one period of time, Joe Kennedy and William D. Pawley both held offices in the Rockefellar Building.

7. William D. Pawley's association with "Convair" is thoroughly discussed here.

8. Floyd B. Odlum's ownership of Convair is also discussed here.

9. Floyd Odlum & Joe Kennedy were close associates. This stems from the RKO Studios as well as the fact that Odlum had ask Joe Kennedy to represent a grouping of Utility Companies, for which Joe would be paid the sum of $1 million dollars.

10. William D. Pawley once praised the young Congressman (Jack Kennedy) for his anti-communist stance.

11. William D. Pawley's association with Curtis Wright aircraft brought him directly in contact with Floyd Odlum who, in 1940, invested heavily into Curtiss Wright as well as becoming a member of the Board of Directors.

12. One would be also quite remiss were they to neglect to point out Floyd Odlum's financial investment in United Fruit, as well as Greyhound Bus.

Especially since William D. Pawley was so fond of forming bus lines in Cuba as well as Miami.

Both men were also Roman Catholics. This was very important in understanding Corcoran's journey from left to right. Corcoran became very sympathetic to the fascists during the Spanish Civil War (the Republicans had been extremely hostile to the Roman Catholic Church in Spain). As a result of his support for fascism, Concoran became an "isolationist". These were views held by Joe Kennedy. It was therefore in Corcoran's interest to get Kennedy appointed as the Ambassador to London.

After a May 5, 1938 meeting with Charles Lindbergh, (who became a leading proponent of the America First Movement), Lindbergh became one of Joe Kennedy's favorite advisors.

He (Lindbergh) was to later provide his opinions to Ambassador Kennedy in regards to the capability of the NAZI air power, and which Joe attempted to utilize to persuade against entry into the war.

Later, LIFE MAGAZINE published a photograph of Joe Kennedy in which he posed with Lindbergh; Lawrence Dennis, and other prominent "America Firster's".

"Don't shoot the golden calf" has been a saying for years, and Hitler/aka NAZI Germany was certainly providing a goodly share of "gold" to many in the American banking and investment houses.

And, of particular note:

Standard Oil of New Jersey — today's Exxon — developed intimate links with the German trust IG Farben.

American law firms, investment companies, and banks were deeply involved in America's investment offensive in Germany, among them the renowned Wall Street law firm Sullivan & Cromwell
