Biography: Sander Hicks

Sander Hicks is an independent publisher, community organizer, and writer. He founded Soft Skull Press in 1992. In 1999 he republished Jim Hatfield's controversial Bush bio Fortunate Son. In 2002 he started Vox Pop/DKMC, New York City's only community-empowering bookstore, cafe, and media machine. As a publisher, Vox Pop publishes investigative non-fiction. He is the author of Big Wedding: 9/11, the Whistle-Blowers, and the Cover-Up (2005). He is also the publisher of Bradley Ayers forthcoming book, The Zenith Secret: A CIA Insider Exposes the Secret War Against Cuba and the Plot That Killed the Kennedy Brothers (2006).
