Very little media attention was given to their nefarious non-political activities. Ironically while Owen points out they carried out attacks on Albanians, they seem to partner with Albanians quite well in the criminal sphere. You see the same thing with Israeli and Arab organized crime groups. They can't live together in peace, but they do just fine together in crime.
