He may not have all the details right, and we will never know all the details, but I think he has established the basic fact. I'd like to see someone refute all the evidence (which would of course require retracing all of Armstrong's research). I have seen commentators on the JFK assassination make some mighty leaps of logic, but this one surely belongs in the Guinness book of world records.
