John Simkin
The US justice department said yesterday it was reopening the case of Emmett Till, the black teenager who was murdered in Mississippi in 1955, providing an early catalyst for the civil rights movement. http://www.guardian.co.uk/international/st...1213729,00.html http://www.spartacus.schoolnet.co.uk/USAtillE.htm
Guest
This is very interesting as I am about to cover this period in history with my Year 8 classes. I have some online lesson material leading up to a Case Study of Emmett Till HERE. I will certainly make my classes aware that the case had been reopened.
