Scott Deitche
Brief synopsis of a November 1967 Dade County Public Safety Dept., Criminal Intelligence report: One of the suspects in the killing of Eladio Del Valle on Feb 22, 1967 was Irma Collazo (aka Irma Battisti). She managed to evade local authorities with the help of Dr. Santiago Rey Pernas. Pernas was the former Secretary of the Interior under Batista. Pernas was closely associated with Santo Trafficante Jr. and Federsbindo Bosque, a Cuban gangland figure with business ties to Norman Rothman and the Mannarino brothers. Pernas relocated to Miami and the Dominican Republic, splitting his time between each. Edited August 5, 2006 by Scott Deitche
