Gus Russo, in his new book Brothers In Arms, says there was a plot to kill JFK in Mexico City in 1962, but it was a Cuban plot.

Thought I'd bring this back in light of new info.

Hi, Bill

Some details re; Gabaldon/Mex City/Kennedy 1962 known to close DACA

{Drive Against Communist Aggression} members and JBS liaison.

It was arranged that Gabaldon leagued with certain other Fereral Mexican

security persons, was to act in that capacity walking at Kennedy's carside

during parade. Gabaldon being a Mexican American. He was to escape

covered after shooting JFK by the others of the Mexican security agents.

It will be of great interest to learn of Gus Russo's description. Does he

suggest Castro, or anti-Castro people were involved?

Brothers In Arms p. 480.

"...At one lunch in 1994, Marty mentioned his friendship with the late CIA Mexico City station chief Win Scott....Marty said, 'probably the best friend I had.' The two had first worked together when Marty advanced JFK's 1962 trip to Mexico City, from June 29 through July 2. While he was there, Win Scott's Mexico City station uncovered a Cuban plot to assassinate the president: A Cuban with a concealed weapon was arrested and released, but little else has been revealed of the incident. When I asked Marty if Scott ever spoke to him about the Kennedy assassination, Mary answered, ' don't talk about those things.'"

Excuse me while I choke on an enchelada.
