I'm a Grants Program Manager for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta. Prior to that I worked in procurement at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Space (Denver) for a few years and prior to that was an officer in the U.S. Navy.

I'm somewhat expert on the eastern theatre battles of the U.S. Civil War and (due to my current location) am now studying the western theatre battles (Perryville through the Atlanta campaign). I've also been fascinated by the events surrounding the assassination of JFK. I was in kindergarten in the U.S. Midwest when it happened. I would grade myself as somewhat advanced on the subject versus the average layman - but a relative "newbie" compared to any serious researcher. My primary reason for wishing to join is to take part in this forum and other politically related forums.
