Donald P. Bellisario

I'm sure a lot of you are aware of the Quantum Leap episode where Sam leaps into Lee Harvey Oswald. I've always been a fan of the show but I didn't realise until I read something on the internet the other day that the creator and exec. producer of Q. Leap, Donald P Bellisario actually served with LHO in the Marines. According to what I read he believed LHO did it but it gave no further details as to when exactly he served with him or where. It just interested me to find out more about this but just doing a quick google doesn't come up with any further details.

Anyone on here know more about this?

P.S. in another odd JFK- Q. Leap link, I was watching a dvd of the first season the other day and when the credits came on saw that Mark Sobel directed an episode. I'm impressed!
