West Ham...Can they survive

Jimmy Hill on his Sunday Supplement, suggested there was a lot of things going on behind the scenes that people are unaware of. This hinted at a considerably more than the internal manager/players squabbles you have described.

Have you any idea what these could be??

There seems to be two main issues that are causing problems at the moment.

(1) The transfer of Javier Mascherano and Carlos Tevez is now being investigated. It is possible that the owners of West Ham at the time did a deal that broke FA rules. It is possible that West Ham will be fined. It has also been suggested that West Ham might have points deducted. This of course all happened before the current owners took control of the club and they will definitely sue Chapman and Co. if this is the result of the transfer.

(2) A large number of the West Ham players resented the sacking of Pardew and the arrival of Curbishley. It seems that Curbishley has not dealt with this issue very well. He has made the classic mistake of uniting the team against him. Even mild-mannered men who were not part of the original troublemaking group have had rows with Curbishley. This has included Robert Green and Matthew Etherington. This has made it virtually impossible to get West Ham playing as a team.
