Studying the First World War

I am sure most teachers are aware of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission website. It is possible to trace all those who were killed during the First World War. For example, here is the entry for my grandfather.

One task is to trace the deaths of people with the same name as the student. I am currently working on an assignment that will involve students using the database to search for professional footballers killed during the war.
