Readers might be interested with Alan Woods and Ted Grant's book on Lenin and Trotsky which is now available online here

It is quite an old work (well put it this way I read it when I was a young socialist!) but it does explode some of the myths surrounding Leninism. I do not know whether Monty Johnstone's original work to which it is a reply is still available online but it is in the paper version of the Woods and Grant book.
