John Simkin
The right-wing group that recently brought down our forum used a strategy of encouraging its members to attack the websites of people they disagreed with. This kind of right-wing terrorism is growing. There is a disturbing article in this week’s TES that highlights the activities of a website called Redwatch. http://www.redwatch.co.uk/why.html http://www.redwatch.co.uk/index2.html The website identifies left-wing activists. This includes home addresses, telephone numbers, car registration details, etc. They are particularly interested in putting details of teachers on this website. Recently, two teachers in Leeds, Sally Kincaid and Steve Johnson, had their car registration details put on the website. Soon afterwards their car was set on fire. I see that one of our members, Martin Powell-Davies, is listed on the site. I wonder what the government is doing about this development. This type of terrorism could be a serious problem in the future.
