Could the misunderstanding of what e-learning is and how teachers could use the resources available be partialy due to teachers not accepting technology as a learning tool and also their inability to use the technolongy themselves. In many cases students will know more about how to use computers and systems than their teachers, particulary when the learning area does not require the use of computers and technology every day (english, SOSE). Learning areas of business, IT and science are more likley to embrace the use of e-learning as they are technology and computer based learning areas.

My name is Pamela Green, I am 23 years old and live in Perth Western Australia. I am in my final semester of my Graduate Diploma of Education (Secondary, Business & IT) at Curtin University. I would like to join this forum as I find the topics very interesting. Some of the topics that are posted would answer many of my questions that I have regarding education and teaching. As I will be starting work next year I am collecting as many strategies and ideas as possible.
