When you are involved in making predictions like this you need to take into consideration two main factors: (1) Current form. Going by the last ten games last season we should finish in the top six. (2) Gain or loss of players since last season. So far it would seem we will have two players who were unable to play for us last season. Dean Ashton and Scott Parker. There is a long time to go before the start of the new season but if we improve the squad even more, I can see us finishing in 5th or 6th place. The important change that has taken place in that the new owners have turned us into a club where we do not have to sell our best players.
