John Simkin Posted December 29, 2008 Share Posted December 29, 2008 England and Liverpool footballer Steven Gerrard has been arrested following an alleged assault. Police were called in the early hours of the morning following an incident at a pub in Southport. Six men, including Gerrard, were detained later in a nearby street. A 34-year-old man from Southport was taken to hospital with facial injuries, not thought to be life-threatening. It is not the first-time that Gerrard has been in trouble.
