Twitter, Facebook, Blogs and the JFK Assassination

Recommended Posts

I had an interesting meeting yesterday with a woman who works for a company who advises large corporations on how they can get their message out via the web. She also provided me with some important information on how we can use the web to promote our online activities. The most important factor in this is the way that search-engines work. She argued that it is very important that you have “Facebook” and “Twitter” accounts and that you link yourself together as “friends” and “followers”. The idea being is that you write about your research and add the URL of your webpage or thread on the forum. This will not only keep the group aware of your research but will increase the search-engine ranking of the page where you are placing the information. It can also be used to promote any books or articles you have had published.

Here are my details:

Once you have registered and become a friend (Facebook) and follower (Twitter) let me know and I will do the same for you.

It would be a good idea if all researchers started their own blog. My one is here:

I suggest you use blogspot as it is owned by Google and is favoured by its search-engine.

Feel free to become a "follower". If you do, let me know, and I will follow your blog. In this way we could link them all together.
