British Empire pushes Dope. Big referendum in California this November. Make people stupid.

The Green Bay Packers visited Seattle last night, and their announcers made fun of this "festival", saying it advocated the legalization of marijuana, and outlawing of plastic.

They had to make a special announcement that anyone working on setting up or tearing down facilities during the event had to wear "close toed" shoes for safety reasons.

By presenting influential speakers such as travel show host Rick Steves, SAFER Choice's Mason Tvert and National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws' Executive Director Allen St. Pierre, Hempfest educates the community on the benefits of drug policy reform. And with famous musical acts such as the Grammy-nominated Bone, Thugs and Harmony, Hemfpest is able to show that legalization is the popular and important issue in today’s political scene.

And this year, with legalization on the horizon on the West Coast, and more states accepting marijuana as medicine, Hempfest's theme this year stresses the importance of responsible use of marijuana and harm-reduction issues.

What evidence do you have that the "British Empire" is behind this? All the people and groups mentioned are American.

Illegalisation was an economic decision afaik when cheap labour from mexico in the twenties were found to be more economically viable when not partaking.

Holland has hardly gone down the drain, has it? Oregon?

Plastic has destroyed much good like the village potter in India, the packaging litter that kills animal life all the time, the industry it is dependent on, oil. I'm sure there are alternatives.
