Tim Carroll
Re Dorothy Hunt's purchase of $250,000 of insurance before her 1/8/72 plane crash, Carl Oglesby in "The Yankee and Cowboy War" refers to this purchace on p. 237. Dawn Meredith <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hi Dawn: I'm a longtime fan of Carl Oglesby's. His reportage of the United 553 crash was credible and disturbing. Elevated cyanide levels, "irregular" and damaging handling of the flight recorders, simultaneous errors in "independent" altimeter systems, non-routine use of the runways, malfunction of the airport's outer marker beacon and the inexplicable lack of pilot response to the stall-warning system all together in one crash amount to compelling evidence of sabotage.
