History teacher since 1990. Since getting an HOD post at a CTC in 1996, have been immersed in the world of using ICT in History teaching. Although job description has changed since then am still involved at a classroom level. Have been using interactive whiteboards (interactively) for over 7 years, sharing effective practice with various organisations, universities and LEAs. Have run external courses for teachers in the North of England, provided case studies for research projects and also designed published software for classroom use. Current projects include varied use of laptops in the classroom and the development of software to support the teaching and learning of generic information handling skills.
