About the Author George Mettler is the author of six previous novels and one book of non-fiction, all of which are soon to be reissued by 1stBooks Library. Mettler was an FBI agent during the Kennedy administration and has been an Army officer, lawyer, and college professor. He is a professional artist whose drawings and paintings are exhibited worldwide. He was born and raised in Tampa, Florida, attended college in New Orleans and law schools in Georgia and Florida. This is the same story that I heard Gene Wheaton tell to researchers William Law and Mark Sobel in the summer of 2005. In the video Wheaton claimed that CIA agent Carl E. Jenkins, turned the team headed by Rafael Quintero away from Fidel Castro to John F. Kennedy. I found the interview very convincing. As he pointed out, Jenkins was aware that Robert Kennedy would block the investigation because he was implicated in the Castro assassination plot.
