Webquests

Recommended Posts

I have recently been working on creating some history webquests - basically an online activity that uses the internet as a teaching tool allowing students to take on roles and produce a variety of outcomes. The webquest that I am working on is about the contribution of black Britons to our history and I will post links to it when it goes on line. I was wondering if anyone uses webquests at the moment and if so could they post links of any examples that they have used.

The (history) ones that I have looked at recently that are worth looking at include:

The Amistad Case: http://projects.edtech.sandi.net/hoover/amistad/

Medieval Times: http://www.plainfield.k12.in.us/hschool/we...ebq93/index.htm

Titanic: http://www.lfelem.lfc.edu/tech/DuBose/webq...te/titanicquest

Perhaps too late....

I put in my website some links about webquest I used once in my classroom.

Most of them were successful

Click on History and Geography. For each level (seconde, première, terminale) you have a webquest section.

I tried to create one this year...on the Three Gorges Dam...if you are interested in that one you should have a look here!

Hope that helps...not too late...
